im using the same flex fan as i was on my previous engine, has a brand new water pump but still cant figure out wats cuasing my car to over heat can anyone throw some ideas my way
what temp thermostat
what is the setup on the motor
stock radiator? when was the last time it was flushed
coolant new?
Air pockets?
flex fan? meh
is the radiator air dam in place
water pump ok?
underdrive pulleys?
how hot does it get- stock gauges?
Generally if it gets warm in traffic or while stopped, that is the water pump or fan. If at highway speeds or cruising, lack of airflow
its got an aluminum radiator, fresh coolant , its got stock guages for right now but the temp gun my dad was using siad it was at 210 an rising so we shut the car off, not sure about air pockets though ill hav to ask my dad bout that. oh yea the radiator was flushed recently. an it has a 180 thermostat in it.
