I just completed my front disk upgrade. I did the popular upgrade to the 87 & up larger front brakes(used). I also purchased a new 1985 Lincoln Towncar larger master Cylinder. My brakes are even worse than before. I bled the brakes properly and don't have a spongy pedal. I adjusted the Master Cylinder rod so that I get a full stroke. My brake pedal feels solid and doesn't go all the way to the floor, but the car just doesn't want to stop very good(not safe to drive). I'll tell you what I did not do, incase these may be part of my problem: 1) I did not change my small 1986 Power Booster. 2) I did not have my drums turned. & 3) I did not install new brake pads. Will any of these make a huge difference, because I need to have a huge improvement. Any other suggestions that I may have overlooked? Thanks.
