Charged 5.4 fitment??

Wondering if some knowledgable gear heads on here can settle an on going argument I am having with a buddy..

Can a Whippled or Kenne Belled 5.4 2v engine fit under ANY hood on a 2002 Mustang???

Now I am not talking about a 20" cowl hood or anything... But a streetable aftermarket hood.

I say absolutely not. I don't know of any K member lowering kit of any kind that would make this possible. Any help in ending an on going debate will be GREATLY appreciated..

The 5.4 has a ~1" taller deck height (10.079-in vs 8.937-in for the 4.6) to accommodate its longer stroke which results in the engine being somewhat physically wider and taller than the 4.6. But not by a ton.

Assuming the KB 5.4 kit puts the blower at roughly the same relative height as on the 4.6, I'd say it probably wouldn't fit under a stock hood but could easily fit with a minimal rise aftermarket part.

1 inch cowl like this? :D

 I am not sure if that is 1" or a little less.....

Has anyone ever tried this kind of swap into a new edge stang?? I've seen people put lightning motors in and everyone has cut holes in the hood for clearance. Granted the lightning blower is much taller than a Whipple or Kenne Bell.
