So everyone buys gas on the 18th or 20th!
In order to really make that idea work, you would have to boycott for at least a week.
one day is only going to cause a minor glitch.
i'll bet money that this whole idea was originated by some stockbroker looking to make a small fortune, and suckering everyone on the net into thinking it would make a difference!
Don't believe everything on the net is true!

MINOR GLITCH

The way I see it, if people did this, it would at least get the governments attention. I agree w/ boycott, but in reality, can you really see that happening?
It seems as though everyone is just letting this go on like it's nothing and just complaining about it amongst themselves. The people need to make themselves heard by the deaf ear of old Uncle Sam. :bang: I don't know about you guys, but my II doesn't exactly qualify as an economy car, and my pockets aren't very deep. :flame:

I can't belive this!! am I the only one?

Read this reply by another guy in one of the other forums. He must have money rolling out of his a55!

Think about this logically for ONE second. The gas companies could care less on what day you or I buy gas as long as we buy it. Not buying gas on wendsday will only increase thier sales dramatically on tuesday and thursday, thus negating your "stock pile" Theory.

Th only true way to get to the gas companies is to use less gas, organizing a "do not drive day" or something of that sort.

Big oil has little to do with the extortionate prices we pay now, wouldn't you think the record prices we pay for arab oil is the main factor? If it weren't for so many people imn the government listening to hippies instead of kocking down a couple trees in alaska or drilling of the pacific coast you wouldn't have to pay nearly as much per gallon.

Perspective: $2.00 a gal x 15000 mi. / 25mpg = $1200
1.50 x 15000 / 25 = $900
300 dollars difference a year, a hair over $5.75 more a week. 82 cents a day. You can't even buy a 20 pop for 82 cents. :(

I'm not too worried about it, if it gets to 3.00 i'll think about changing driving habits, ect. but 2.00 really isn't that big a deal IMO.
