Last night I was cut off on the high way and did a full 360 before hitting a mile marker on the high way and ending up on a hill on the side of the highway. I was going at least 80. As soon as I calmed down I tried to start my car but the battery light was on. my car basically acts like its dead now and wont start, and you can hear a ticking noise before you try to start it. HELP!!!!!

Any additional information would help:
Is the serpentine belt still in place?
Are the connections to the battery secure?
Did you happen to check your fuel pump shut off switch in the trunk?
Did you crank it enough that the battery died?
Sounds like a really scary experience and like the @$$hole that cut you off didn't even stop to make sure you were okay.
