Hello everyone, I'm new to the stagnet forum.
Anyways, I just bought an 01 mustang GT from the original owner in completely stock unmolested condition. the car is near mint.
Anywho, I decided to change the clutch out with a new one because the old one was very worn.
I accidentally bought the wrong clutch kit at advance auto parts, I'm assuming the one I bought was for the T45 because it was smaller than the one for my car, I have the tremec 3650. I used the throwout bearing from the wrong clutch but didn't realize I bought the wrong clutch until after I already installed the bearing, and I went and swapped out the wrong clutch for the right one, but didn't change the bearing, and when I put the transmission back in, I found out that the car wouldn't shift into any gear with the engine running, but would shift easily through all gears with the engine off,I thought the only thing it could be the throwout bearing being the wrong one for the tremec. are the throwout bearings different on the two transmissions ?
