Odometer And Trip Meter

So I recently bought this car and it is a little bit of a project car.

The odometer and trip meter is not working.

Anyone have any suggestions on why this might be?

I have a 97 mustang gt , had the same issue . I bought a cluster gear kit and watched a youtube video on how to fix the broken gears which cause them to stop working , took about 30 minutes and good as new . Hope this is relevant and applicable to your situation
