I recently purchased a 96 gt convertible and the steering column was hammered I reached it with a column out of an 03 convertible that was totaled and in a nutshell I am having a problem with the pats security system the column out of the 03 has the key and the tranciever ect ect but I think the plug for the pats system passive auto theft system is different because I get the rapid flashing security any info on this would be absolutely awesome thanks fellas

If you have a tuner you turn the pats off

Getting rid of the pats should solve your issue unless it's something else

Here is where my problem is really I replaced the column out of an 03 complete key tranciever ect and all the plugs are the same but the pats plug on the 96 is different everything else is exactly the same as far as the elect.plugs the ignition plug turn syngnal c.c. airbag etc etc but the pats plug on the 03 is a four wire plug and the plug pats on the 96 is a six wire plug unless I'm mistaken so if anyone out there can help it would be greatly appreciated thanks again fellas and I'm looking forward to any info
