So, I don't know if this is even a feature...but when upshifting, the engine likes to sit at the next rpm if you are going to shift to the next gear up like 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th, etc. Is there anyway to turn this off that I'm missing? Sometimes I can get up to the speed I need in 2nd or 3rd and would love to just skip over to 5th without waiting for that awkward second or two for the revs to resume falling. Mine is a base GT with PP in case that makes a difference to what's available. I mean, sometimes I like it if you feel like rowing through all of the gears...but sometimes it's damn annoying.
