twin turbo setup!!!

Singles have too much lag to be able to support any decent amount of power(say 600)...+ your exhaust would sound like CRAP. But durring a race, the single wouldnt be far behind the twin setup in the lag department....just durring a lower RPM romp the twin would spool pretty darn fast.

Now to Saleen.

What limits the bottom end is the amount of air thats going into the motor (more air= more power). the more air, the more stress thats on the motor....a bigger explosion, faster piston acceleration, more likely to knock, ect.

So @ 8-10 PSI your shoving a certain amount of air into the cylinder....throw in cams and your shoving even more air into the motor at a given PSI (more power, but also more strain).

Now take a turbo vs S/C. the turbo is throwing in 8PSI....just like the S/C motor. SO piston pressures and excelleration (or attempted acceleration) is the same. your rotating assymbly cant tell the difference between the 2 really.

Now on the top side, with a S/C...the power that the engine is making (or the air explosion is making) is getting eaten up by turning the pulley (really just like your engine turning your drive shaft and rearend when your driving)...its just sucking up power that the motor is really making.

BUT a turbo has no such "drag down" on the motor and all that "free" power is put down to the wheels.

And just for the heck of it, one more example....Ok, lets say your motor is getting completely 100% free boost. Now on one car, the rear breaks are slightly locked up. Whats going to happen? The engines POWER is going to be wasted and used trying to overcome the resistance.
Same thing with turning the S/C, its just an external drag on the motor and has nothing to do with whats going on inside to MAKE the power. :nice: .

And in conclusion, im really not sure EXACTLY how much power the S/C is eating up, vs the turbo...but I would say ATLEAST 30RWHP in our case (I heard a centri eats up around 75HP @ like 10PSI). So 30 is probably a big under shot, but that really depeding on your power lv and what size turbos and their effeciency ranges, ect. (lots of factors)
