I was lookin inside my BBK ceramic coated long tube headers today and the welds inside the head mating flange, inside the ports, are awful. They pertrude well into the exhaust track. Doesn't look like I have much room to grind them down either. Anybody noticed this on their BBK headers?
My friend experienced the same poor welding performance on his '93 Cobra that has BBK shortys. Not what people expect out of a company that carries its name with its reputation.
I had the same thing on my BBK 351W Swap long Tubes. But it's not a big deal, because they don't cover the head exhaust ports at all no matter what kind of head you are using. That's all that matters. They will not hurt performance at all. Don't worry about it man.
