Well after a short stint with the Ricer sounding OEM replacement and with the passing of my 36th Birthday last month, came a surprise from a friend in the form of a new MAC SS axle back single exhaust for the Lil' Stang.
After a 30 minute wrestling match with the isolator bracket spyder hangers, we were successful and I was off for a test drive.
10 minutes on the road proved to me that when it comes to the single exhaust replacement, MAC has hands-down (in my personal opinion and preference) NAILED the droan and amplification of the cam lobe of the 4.0L V-6.
It is all about the droan for me. The louder the better. When the amplification pressure is deep enough to be nearly uncomfortable but it does not rupture my ear drum, then I give an exhaust
- 2 thumbs up.
So, I am a happy woman and the droan is > sex. The aggressive size of the pipe is a little large, but I do not stand there and look at the aesthetics of the pipe. I could care less. My Lil' Stang sounds evil.
Next - Springs and then power adders.
(For those wondering why not a true dual swap - engineering and natural law tells me that until there is an increase in HP/TQ, going to a true dual while the engine is stock will actually cause a net loss in power. So, I will wait and reengineer the exhaust, when I can compensate at intake or combustion. For every action there is an equal reaction.
)
Pics and sound clip will be posted by this coming weekend, I am hoping.

And a special thanks to the man who sent the sexy muffler. You are a gentleman who knows what to buy a lady and you nailed it – 10 out of 10!!!! WOOT!

Errr...Thanks Commander. I guess the way I phrased that could have been taken wrong.
