Official 2006 NFL Thread

I wish I had ticket to tomorrows Lions game, supposedly the crowd is supposed to walk out during the 2nd quarter. I doubt it though, because the only fans in the crowd will be from Chicago, nobody from Detroit will be there, I mean isn't ther a hockey game or basketball going on somewhere?

Looks like Pittsburgh just can't solve Baltimore this year. I mean, They have pretty much been Pittsburgh's bitch for a few years but this will put an end to the Steelers minute playoff hopes. Oh well, I just hope they get off to a better start next year than this year. Thats what killed them. HArd to say who I will pull foir in the playoffs. ESPN wants the Colts to win and thats annoying as hell. Would be nice to hear them just shut up about it. I hate New England so thats out. I hate Baltimore even more than New England (At least if Baltimore loses the fans don't whip out "They didn't beat us. We beat ourselves" card) . So its up in the air and hopefully the Steelers can come back next year and win it all again.

I thought after the steelers won last year you guys would loose some of your new england/tom brady hate (envy)... Hell I was even kind of happy when the steelers won, that way I would not have to listen to steeler fans whine all the time.. You guys were even worse than PRE 2004 red sox fans.. I guess I was wrong winning one did not help, and now I can't even call you guys the disco dynasty anymore.

Just because the pats knocked you guys out at heinz in afc title games twice is no reason to hate us.. Hell I wish pittsburg was in the playoffs this year, it's really not the same without them..

:p :p :p

Now about the pats chances in the playoffs this year.

In 2003 and 2004 I was extremely confident in the pats winning it all but this year I am not so sure about them for a few reasons..

1. they do not have the first round bye..

2. while the defense has been excellent the offense has been inconsistant at best.. They NEED maroney and watson healty and playing well to win. Dillon is a good goal to go threat but he is not the back he was in 2004 and they lack speed at WR.. The pats never had great wideouts but in the past they had branch who was a deep threat right now they don't threaten deep period. I feel this has hurt the running game and short passing game since if you don't have to worry about the deep ball as much you can play the safties up.. Since this can not be fixed right now unless Chad Jackson all of a sudden "gets it" they are going to have to win with a short passing game and running the ball..

it really all depends on what pats offense will show up... If the offense plays like it did in the indy game or the O-line plays like it did in the second miami game then they are done. If they even play OK then with the defense they got they can go far.

Run Run Run, Cant stop it. LOL

1st round of the playoffs they are out, been saying it for weeks now. They did a good job of masking that once again horrilble defense but its only a matter of time before it was exposed. Everyone was on the colts band wagon by week 9, now where is everyone?

Black-

Pittsburgh had a great yr as far as Im concerned, couldnt want anything more from the second place team I hate the most in the NFL right behind the colts who will soon have the same fate as soon as they play in January.

I agree w/ the above post, the Patriots lost their long passing game and it does effect the run. Hopefully they will figure something out to get the recivers deep once they are in the playoffs. They did not throw one deep ball in Jacksonville. I still have alot of confidence in them as long as the O line can block for Brady and as long as they are the ones getting the turnovers and not giving them which they had a problem w/ awhile ago.

:nice:

I like to get on the AJC blog, where all the so called falcant's fans are, and post WHO DAT :D

one thing I hate about watching Saints games is that the stupid tv people can't go 5 mins with out mentioning katrina. Come on... get over it. It was over a year ago! You don't see tv people talking about all the **** that happened in Florida every ****ing game do you!?!??!?!?!

This who dey crap is getting old, cant wait for their season to be over sooner then later. Then again they are an NFC team which is still a horrid division.

Giants- picked to go all the way by a lot of "experts" this yr, where are they now?

Seattle- Horrible showing for a team coming off a super bowl appearence

Cowboys= True colors are starting to show through

Eagles- On the verge of being out, might actually make a run for a Feb 4th game.

Saints- Just dont see them going deep into the playoffs, not enough team experience in the big games past december.

MAN! Almost 8,000 views and there still like 2 weeks left rite? + Playoffs + Super Bowl. I think this beat the NHL thread.

Well its more like over a month, the Super bowl is not until Feb 4th. It should beat the hockey thread but it does not beat last yrs NFL thread of 100+ pages, not unless it really picks up in here over the next month.

You think you are tired of hearing the Who Dey crap. That is all I hear in Cincinnati "Who Dey" oficially pisses me off.

You dont know anything about sports, you dont belong here.
