new pony to my stable

just added another pony to my stable. just a few wks ago some of you might of remembered me picking up the red 85 gt t-top in the beginning of dec from some guy in orting. well his father lives down the street from me and 10 days ago i picked up a 84 gt t-top no motor/tranny/lost title for $200. yes it has a 85/86 nose but the vin registers as a 84 (doors are also stamped E4). the father bought it from a GI who was being immediately deployed to iraq in the beginning of the war... so the GI never had time to find his title. The guy I bought it from found out the GI never back it back alive resulting in the title being lost. so now i'm on a quest to get the title and will prob go through a title broker out in vegas. it's one of those title search, reissue in another state, sell back to you, then title in your state, kind of deals. it'll cost me like $300. i've researched it and is totally ligit given you have the req supporting documents, which i do have. plus i ran the vin at the lic dept and it came up clean/not stolen. anyways i finally had a chance to roll it out and clean it up somewhat today. eventually i'll plan on getting both 84 & 85 t-tops back on the roads in time for summer weather. :Word:

After a good cleaning w/eng degreaser and simple green and the xmas pressuer washer i bought for myself

Nice! 4eyed's gotta love'm! You might want to try this cleaner i get from the dollar stores called AWSOME. Just do not use it on glass,anything HOT or in direct sun light/heat! peace

That instrument cluster is out of a police car that is why it says certified calibrated on the bottom, I've had one before also. If you dont want it I'll trade you for a stock one!!! You sure have some projects there. If you need little things here and there for those cars let me know because I've had a few of those cars, so I still have some parts left.
