well the playoffs are set and our next super bowl champion is somewhere in the mix. All the speculation of who would go all the way just got narrowed down. Alot of the top teams expected to win it all are in it, but not in the position everyone thought they would be in.
Colts- Expected to run the table at one point, now fighting the head aches of the worse run defense in the league.
N.Y Giants- Manning VS Manning super bowl was once predicted by all, now it seems like an un likely long shot.
Seattle- Lack of Hasselback and Alexander had an effect on the team but at least one of the teams making a super bowl showing last season is now back.
Steelers- Biggest let down team of the season, next yr will be the telling tale of what this team really is, the super bowl team, or the 8-8 team and how much will the loss of cowher have an effect on the team?
New England Patriots- well here we are again, won their division ( how many yrs in a row is that?) and sitting at 12-4 going into the playoffs. A team that every yr the "experts" write off but they just dont seem to want to go away. 10-1 playoff recored w/ brady/belichick. How far will they go? Im not to sure this weekends game will tell alot. If they play like the patriots of old then I'll expect to see them in feb, if they play like the struggling team we have seen at times this yr and have a hard time beating the jets (or maybe not at all) then it may be a rough short road for them this yr.
Either way the AFC is taking it yet again this yr. For example the Patriots go 12-4 and end up w/ a wild card, teams in the NFC are barley over .500 and in the wild card, shows the difference between the two conference's
