Ordered my Caltracs & monoleafs

i ordered a set of caltrac's and the adjuster rod came in at 16.5" which is too short to get the adjustment needed. I had to call Caltrac's and have them resend a new set. from what i understand the mustang adjuster rod needs to be 18.5 and for some reason the mopar rods (16.5) were on wrong shelf at caltracs.
double check with Dustin, he is getting his stall from Continental convertors or some other place for a good price.

thanks for the heads up. now i'll know what to look for if i have problems installing them.
i have qa1 adjustables. why get ranchos when i can spend twice the price? lol.

So I guess this means you are agressively getting on that rebuild? Let me know what you think about those cal-tracs.
oh yeah. i want to be out in the spring. i have a lead on a sportsman block. i'll see if it pans out in a few days.
For the record, Caltracs handled it like a god company should.Sent us the right ones the next day for free.
I'm waiting for a call from Lenny tomorrow also. But the guy he used to work with years ago it local here. Says he can do a 3-5% for 650hp for $525. Another local says they can do the same slippage, rated to 900hp, 2 free re-stalls for $650. I talked to PTC and they didn't sound to confident about getting down to 3-5%. NOt 100% quite yet, But I should have it figured tomorrow. It's hard to choose. I am really leaning towards Cont. hard, but only rated to 650hp scares me a little.900hp and 2 free re-stalls is intriging also.What spline, and who's input shaft are you running ? All I want is it not to blow up, and work, know what I mean ?
i would steer clear of the 650hp version.

Where did you get your mono leafs from and what company? I'm looking to do the same exact combo. (mono's and caltracs)
The second reason is why I haven't picked continental yet. But it's hard to argue with a guy that has 36 years experience, and that everyone local has. What was your stall rated to ?
how many years of turbo experience? how many local guys are running turbos? turbo converters are a different animal.

This is the ONLY reason I haven't picked him yet. I JUST got off the phone with Lenny.I'm getting a converter from him. The guy I was looking at, Lenny used to work for. But I'm going with Lenny's and it sounds like a bad mutha. Rated to 1200HP, CM stator, and a steel ring, not aluminum. Not a bad price ($795). rather spen it now, then have your problem, or break the stator and take out motor, too.
