EVERYTHING is getting more expensive. Not just gas. I work at Sherwin-Williams and we have been forced to have atleast 5 price increases in the past year, all were at least 5% with the last one being 11%. People just fail to realise that. You used to be able to get a coke for a nickel (remember that Grady?
) Everything will get more expensive, and will ALWAYS continue to get more expensive. Im just waiting for them to decide that peoples pay should go up.
Yo can say that again. and this IS a "rant" thread! so feel free to rant.!
Green, gas seems to go up FASTER though and strangely timed compared to other items ingeneral though.
In some countries people are not allowed to even post a discussion like this. I am glad we live where we can post our opinions AND facts and opinions based on fact without getting blown up or shot at or jailed.
As to posting about the pres...I am not totally against the pres..after all..he is our President, so in general I respect him as that. BUT even though I voted for him, I don't trust his motivations..or most politicians..or anything they say... but more about gas..
I think the facts so far from this thread are:
#1 It is based on supply and demand and the refinerys have a lot to do with that.
#2 OIL companies make TOO much money ..how do they make money?? They CHARGE US FOR GAS! doesn't that kinda throw the refinery theory a little? I dunno but I an just suggesting..do you feel they have too much a CORNER ont e market?? I DO!
#3 The president and his cab members currently in office have MAJOR ties with the Bin Ladens (look it up, saudis, and has a huge stake in OIL). Doesn't that speak for something?
#4 No I am not a left wing banana but I do see some concerning facts...don't you?
#5 Politicians seem to be more greedy than ever. I think that does have something to do with it. I sometimes think a small % of our society controls supply and demand and even legislature, etc..and think that is getting worse especially for poor people.
Do I have all the answers? No. But hopefully Americans will start wising up and not believing everything they hear on the news and coming out of politicians mouths relating to our economy.
OH, and as to "rush" he is an entertainer only and puts a ton of spin on everything..just like the liberal media..
I would be careful about getting my "news" from him or any other part of the entertainment industry.
If you want fair news, maybe consider the BBC. It is my understanding they aew 2% entertainment and 98% simple reporting, no spin..thats what I have heard but it seems we have to go out of our way to get the real facts these days..
All that aside I am wondering if we should close the thread cause I fell like I may have sparked something bad if everyone is gettin their feathers real ruffled. If so, I apologize.
