Went out to start my car this morning and as soon as it started, it died. This happened 3 times, so the next time I held the gas pedal for about 5 seconds while I started it to keep it running and everything was fine. Car run/idle fine on my way to work but when I went out to start it to come home from work it started doing the same thing.

When I get home I shut it off and then try to start it, it starts fine. Could this the the fuel filter, pump. Anybody got any suggestions?

Thats funny mine is doing it again to. Mine it almost every time it raind out in the winter, then it stoped for some reason. It hasn't done it for 3 months but now its starting to act up again. It dies unless I keep my foot on the gas when i start her. It doesn't happen all the time though. I have no idea what it could be. I cleand out my IAC but that didn't seem to help. I guess I could also try the fuel filter.

I just went back out after the car has sit for a couple hours, it started right up. Guess i'll have to see if it acts up again in the morning.

Edit**

Most people will suggest the usual fuel filter, IAC checks. Do those first for sure! Also.. check to make sure you fuel pump is getting enough time to prime. It could be going bad.

Turn the key on and allow 5 seconds or so to prime after it's sat for awhile. If it cranks right up after the long period of time you allowed it to prime, then it could be something to do with the pump. If it does the same thing.. I'd imagine it could be a fuel filter.
