About 5wks ago i installed my SCT Xcal 2 Tune in my 2001 Mustang GT. It was for my Cams and all my other mods. Ever since then when i come to a complete stop my car dies and when i'm out driving around and let off the gas the car becomes hesitate until i give it gas again. I honestly don't know what the problem could be. If anyone has any information for me please let me know.
Thanks,
Brandon

Symtoms sound like an IAC. Started mine up one day and it didnt want to idle, at all. Pulled the IAC off, cleaned it out and runs fine since. Give it a try, will cost you 30mins of your time and about $4-5 for a can of carb cleaner.

mail order tunes for cams aren't very good, which is most likely why you're dying. get a dyno tune.

+1 You are better off putting the car on a dyno and getting it dialed in. A mail order tune is what it is and can't be simply adjusted as does the dyno.

I believe your basic dyno tune runs a couple hundred dollars if i'm not mistaken.

Around here a dyno tune is around $400 for your fist tune then if you change anything and need a tune up its $100-$200.

I have cams in my car and it dies every once in awhile even with my custom tune

Buy the SCT pro racer package for $400. You'll never need a shop again. It is very easy to use, and you can work with tons of parameters. Plus the tune is more realisitc, because it considers weather conditions and other factors.
