BTW.....that body work...IS NOT OF MY OWN...I got the car complete running and driving, but in that shape with those doors....which will be changed.

Oh yeah, car is an 81, it is getting the 01 GT drivetrain, 87-93 interior, and 87-93 exterior!!!! That bumper won't be painted or installed for months, I just set it on there to be funny!!!

why not get an 85 or 86 gt bumper and do that instead of putting the areo nose on a four eye?? then so the 87+ interior....

Dood, if you want an Aero, BUY an Aero, and leave that poor Four-eye as a Four-eye! ... or trade it with someone that wants to get rid of their Aero in favor of a Four-eyed equivalent ... like me.

Despite its offense to some of the people that disagree, I have to say a few things. 79-82 GT's and pace cars look sweet, I wouldnt change them. 85-86 Gt's look sweet, I wouldnt change them either. 87-93 Are the best looking of the bunch, then the 79-82, then the 85-86. Anything else, I really dont care, for the most part they're pretty ugly.

I see no reason as to why not put on an aero nose. The coupes look silly with that front end, and would even if swapped to a 4-eye front end thats attractive, it still wont look right on a coupe. And I'm a coupe advocate. In lamens terms, I completely support you swapping it, and in supporting it I urge you to disregard the naysayers.

Thank you!!!!!! I have loved the 87-93 since I was about 10-12 years old. I like the 4 eyed 85-86 Mustang nose, but the 81 bumper is UGLY!!! Anyways, I am doing the 01 GT 2V swap....using the ENTIRE harness, and I don't want to hack any plugs off to run seal beam headlights. The 81 interior is an UGLY PEANUT BUTTER VINAL!!! EEhhhhwww Rats were living in the back seat and under carpet...it smelled like piss!!! Everything but the dash and console is in the trash!!


P.S. rigamaroles....You picture in your signature is BADA$$!!!! Your pic is really what made me buy this other notch. I want two identical cars just because!! Nice rides!!

I have to say that i prefer it with the aero nose as well. That stock grille is my least favorite of any year mustang, although i do love the look of the 86 gt & lx grilles, if its between the stock grille he has or an aero nose, id say aero nose all the way

I bought 1 quart and used half on my entire under body, under the back seat, and in the trunk. I am using the rest for problem spots under the hood, and in the strut towers...(behind the fender wells, not under the hood). It cost me 48 bucks.

Additional info:

Use a cheap gun too, not a really good one. Wait 4-5 hours between coats. You can paint over is within 4-12 hours after your last coat. It you wait longer than 12 hours, you must scuff the POR-15, Etch Prime it, let that dry, then spray your desired Urethane, or Epoxy Primer over that, and then paint and clear it.

I have an 85 GT nose in pretty decent shape that I will sell you cheap if you promise to use it on this car and not go aero nose. I agree the stock 81 nose isnt the most attractive, but save yourself the work and still have a unique car that is still 4-eye and use an 85-86 nose, or even an 82 GT nose like 85_SS_302_Coupe!

What you're doing (the whole 2v 01 stuff) is EXACTLY what i want to do with mine.. please do a thread about it, or make a sticky or something over on modularfox.com. im soo wanting to do the same thing!!
