Part power seat to Full power seat

I have a 88 GT that I am swapping the interior from a 93 cobra into. Well I reached my first snag. The new seats are full power, my old seats were only power lumbar. Is there a way to convert my set-up to a full power set up? Any help appreciated, I really really want to put these seats in and to have them full power would be a added bonus.

Thanks stangnet

Yea the new seats have actually 3 plugs looks like. Where as I have only one (lumbar) on my old seats and currently in the car. I am thinking it wouldn't be too hard as well, maybe just a JY trip. But I want to make sure. I under estimated a project before :D .

here's what my 02 seats power setup looks like maybe its the same

The second one just needs power, not sure how its wired but you would just take 12 volts and apply it to one of the colered wires and ground the black and see what motor the switch operates.

that 4 pin one looks just like the 4 pin on my 02 seat try sending power to it as seen in my pic. I used red or blue butt concetors to make contact in there, and it works perfect.

Boy, my seat jumper wire picture above sure does get some use! LOL!

You can splice the power and grounds together OK and attach them to your lumbar wires as I don't think you would be using the lumbar pump and the seat motors at the same time. The connections look the same as was said, but just make sure. On the 4 pin plug, the top left should be ground (blk), and the bottom two should be power (colors). The top right pin in my picture is for the seat belt wire, don't know about the 93 seats. On the two pin plug, the left one should be the ground,(blk) right power (blk/w).

Good luck on it!

SO you are recommending that I split off from the wire that I will be using for the 4 pin connector and using it to power the 2 pin (lumbar)? Just want to make sure I am clear and that it wont overload things.

Thanks for the help thus far guys.

Review the diagram. The power for the lumbar is tapped off of the main input power at splice S302. Likewise, the ground is for the lumbar is tapped off of the power seat ground at splice S306. The diagram is showing both circuits are connected together. Just verify that the two-pin is for the lumbar and match up the wire colors as shown in the diagram.

:( that wire setup is not working for me. DOes it matter that the seat going in, is a 6t way adjustable? I have it setup just as in the picture. I can manually move the motor by emulating what the switch will do by putting one of the power wires on the open terminal. But it will not move via the switch.

Any ideas?

Mine is a 6 way, two rocker switches for front/rear height adj and a joystick for forward/backward and total seat height. Hopefully you have all the wiring under the seat and it is connected together. One guy was missing part of the wiring under the seat and he had to rig it up a bit differently.
