Is that your car? Very sweet, man! I tried to take pictures of it with the lights going, but its hard to tell. Other than the Foxes I took pictures of, I was sort of disappointed in the 5.0L turnout. I almost think I should have entered my '86! But the classics there were very cool.

You know, the weather was forecasted for rain today, so I made other plans, and I didn't go back to ORP. Was it a good turnout?

Is that your car? Very sweet, man! I tried to take pictures of it with the lights going, but its hard to tell. Other than the Foxes I took pictures of, I was sort of disappointed in the 5.0L turnout. I almost think I should have entered my '86! But the classics there were very cool.

You know, the weather was forecasted for rain today, so I made other plans, and I didn't go back to ORP. Was it a good turnout?

It's hard to get a good shot with the lights on. The only way is to take a lot of pix in quick succession, and eventually you'll get a good shot with most of the lightbar rotators facing the side towards the camera.

Not as many Foxes as last year, IIRC. But it was good to have the Jags, T-Birds, and other Fords their. Makes for a nice variety.

Sunday's turnout was down a bit from Saturday. Hard for many to make a 2-day hole in the schedule I guess. The early morning rain may have kept some away, but the weather cleared up very nicely. It was a pretty good turn out for the "Hot Laps" on the track, though. Unlike IMS, and their yellow-jacketed, No-Fun-Nazis, we could go pretty fast on the ORP track.

Man, I'm totally jealous. I would have loved to make runs around that track. I've done it before though, in HS with a super-mileage vehicle

I topped out at 77 mph on the back stretch, and did 53 through the turns. Could have gone faster, but I wasn't ready to trust my 10 year old tires and my stock brakes to keep me out of the wall (freshly painted for next Saturday's Nationwide race). It is cool just being out there.

It was fun watching the demo driver (Scott Hoag from "Modified Mustangs" magazine) tear around the track. I clocked him with my radar at 94 mph at the entrance to turn one, and 77 at the apex.

No helmets required. Some of the SCCA types did bring theirs, however.

Yea, I missed FFW in Ohio this year, so this was the next best thing.
