88gt
2950lbs w/ me
cobra intake(ported lower)
gt40p heads
e303 cam w/ 1.7 roller rockers
4.10s
m/t et street slicks
t5
all bolt-ons w/ fuel/spark requirements met or surpassed
36 degrees timing (sprout out) 93 octane

have at it!

i would love to see 12 anything with practice

Who said anything about gt40s?

"cobra intake(ported lower)
gt40p heads"

you did, these threads always turn into a debate pm the efficiency of gt40 combos.

That's what I'm getting at

I think he just wants to know what his car is capable of running. I dont think he is tryin to start a debate.

yea im pretty sure everyone here knows gt40 stuff is stock crap....

but there are guys running 11s with it...

sadly, im not a skilled enough motor builder to accomplish that...

so like previously stated...

just looking for a goal to work off of... thats all

with the a light car like that an i would guess around 270rwhp or so, i say 12.5-12.7's. just my guess, of course thats assuming its tuned an running good. then again idk, i stil dont know how 25mustang's car is soo god**** FAST ! lol. i only trapped 101mph and have around the same kinda bolt ons lol. spill the secret! lol

LOL, no secrets here, not to mention I think the 12.5 is conservetive. Our GT40P car was going 12.1s with the stock cam, now with the custom one it has gone 12.00s in crappy weather and no tune.

Damn! Brian....you make me wish I would've kept my black notch and swapped over the upper half with these Cash 4 Clunker Explorers I just got in. I have two with the GT40 stuff. One's a 96 the other is a 99. I coulda built it up a little bit and seen what could have happened. :D

A stout GT40 car, with some weight gone, suspension and driving is a low low 12s car all day, IMO. Like I said, ours with a set of 3.55s, in a street car went 12.17. Then with 4.10s and a different driver went 12.14. Then with the VS change, cam change and no tuning went 12.0s on it's only times to the track. We since had it tuned but my brother coaches on top of working 50+ hours a week and has no time to get to the track. I'm sure in the fall he will take it back once or twice, but he has said I don't get to drive it until it goes 11s.

Our engine guy and others think it has some 11.80s or better, but we will see!
