If the car is in Falmouth (Cape Cod - right on the shore line and prime target for many storms), then I'd be very careful about rust! Being in Mass, it also doesn't require a smog check (pre 96 car). So, who knows what the engine really runs like - likely idles like PURE CR*P with 60# injectors.
Seeing the car sitting on grass, and being on the Cape makes me want to say WTF????????? Wow, if the salt doesn't rust the living ****** out of everything, then the moisture from that nice wet ground in Falmouth will surely rust the ******* out of everything.
I'd be SUPER careful looking underneath and having the underbody painted, undercoated etc. I know people that would cover huge gaping holes underneath with sheetmetal held in by screws, and throw some undercoat over it. It often looks fine unless you have your nose right up against it.
