Remember When....

My father-in-law is a hoarder. I can probably find a case or two or them in the shed.
damn.. i used to get one of them CD's every damn week in the mail. EVERYONE used AOL back in the 90's . You were hot stuff if you had the a/b switch on your phone line so you could stay connected while on the phone with your 56k baud connection.

I tossed one of those AOL disks away very recently. Found it in the garage.

Now I know where to send them. :D

@rbohm , do you prefer CD or floppy diskette? o_O

Remember when you went trick or treating on Halloween and brought home a treasure full of candy...

Only to have your parents worried someone put a needle or razor in it.

Geesh that happened like twice across the country and the rest of us kids had to suffer.

I even remember when local authorities offered to X-ray the candy bag for free. Like that was a healthier option.

Remember when we didn't have message boards and gatherings of the biggest baddest cars on the planet- you had to build it yourself going off gut feelings and what was track proven instead of a guide online?

Heh, remember when tech articles in magazines were like GOLD because you could learn something from them? And you waited and waited hoping they would cover that one thing you needed help with?

Remember when the parts counter guy was like a parts wizard and had to flip through 10 inch thick phone book catalogs to find part numbers?

....or a local phone call at a payphone (if you can find one) for that matter.

remember when a local call at the payphone cost a nickle?
