Paint and Body Key Lock Cylinders and Tumblers

My key only works on one side. For the doors or trunk - are the tumblers on the top or bottom? Trying to figure out which side of my key is not cut correctly. Thanks.
Putting the key in the trunk lock the wafers are on top. Whichever way you key works the cuts on the top of the keys are the good side. I also believe the doors locks are the same, the wafers are all on one side

I think if i was going to pull them, I would consider just buying a new set on LMR (unless there is something inferior about repros).
$50 for the lock set or $90 for a single key setup with the ignition.

Some of those sets you cannot get any more keys made for them. NOS Ford keys or any replacement key like Ilco, Silca Curtis keys do not even fit into the locks. If you buy them, make sure you ask if replacement key blanks fit in them, you would be surprised at how many do not.

The cheap PYC sets? You can get and cut the non ford keys at home depot for few bucks, the ford keys have been repopped for ever and pyc even uses them on the last few sets I used.
