    Car is back on the road... but it's storming like crazy here. :nonono: First test with a new tune and STOCK transmission settings. The car held to 6,200 in 3rd gear on a section of road it would never hold before. If it does it a few more times this week, I'll consider the problem solved...

    What's different about the 94-5 5.0

    Don't forget the valve cover clearance for the EGR if you still have it hooked up. You may need to grind a little for some applications.

    BBK strut tower brace

    My $30 off = DS safety loop. :D I would love to know if the ST brace will clear the 96 cobra hood. I've yet to find one that will. The ST brace I had modified by a welded worked great until I switched to an MSD dizzy. It's taller and hits the modified brace.

    I was just mentioning a part that he might consider. It's easy to change, a lot of people see it under the hood, etc. Mine is black already. My car is red with black accents. I'm good to go. :nice:

    $35 heck.... I thought you were talking about one a lot higher, which is why I said I would go with the LMAF. It's a good meter and is a LOT cheaper and easier to work with. IE you can get it tuned for about whatever you need. If Don says they are virtually the same thing. You should buy...

    Agreed. The LMAF meters are cheap enough brand new. I picked mine up for under $100. Summit price matched the MAF and 42lbers I had originally tried to buy at the terrible www.buyfordracing.com - If you ever have a problem with a package.... better bend over.

    Are the springs too tall or the tires too small?

    Remove the mud flaps, then it won't look like a 4x4 truck. :D Just messin' with you. I'm not big on lowering cars. Roads here suck. A small drop wouldn't hurt though. Springs definitely. 18" tires cost too much for me. :lol:

    As you may be able to tell from the last pic. I was in the middle of stripping the paint off my brackets to get them powdercoated. I hit one with brake clean and it ate the paint off. :x I'll most likely pull it back off and repaint it until this winter where I can take some time to get them...

    Fits fine.... :D You just may have problems with some aftermarket ST braces.

    3,200 stall here from Edge... love it! I put a 3,000 behind my stock engine and dropped almost a full second off my 1/4 times.

    We're hoping the chip settings and the aggressive manual settings in the transmission are conflicting to produce the error. Don is going to hook me up with a test chip with 4 different transmission variations (one being bone stock) so we can do some further testing. I'll let you all know how...
