Meziere Elec Water Pump & Twin Screw -> ?'s

Ran off the end of the track? Ouch. I've never done that but I've been close, and it was scary. Glad you and the car are still ok. Thanks for the info, jimfitzgerald. I really appreciate the help. Stay safe! Michael

Meziere Elec Water Pump & Twin Screw -> ?'s

Yeah I don't feel comfortable with that long of an unsupported run on the belt. I'll just get the pump with the standard pulley if its working for your setup. Thanks! So how do you like the manual brakes? Does it give up the ABS? What brakes are you running? I'll likely switch out the GT...

Meziere Elec Water Pump & Twin Screw -> ?'s

Hmm... interesting. In looking at the way the belt is routed on a 2-valve motor with a KB, I suppose it would be best to stick with the Meiziere with the pulley. Did you keep the hydraboost and the power brakes? I really want to convert to manual steering to drop the weight and the...

Are you using 8-rib pullies and belt or the stock pullies?

Steeda ball joint or Cobra control arms?

Not at all. You weren't wrong. We were just talking about different ball-joints. Take care guys. Michael

Meziere Elec Water Pump & Twin Screw -> ?'s

Oh, I will. I need those cam's and I won't buy from anywhere else! :) I guess I'll ask them about the water pump when I get them on the phone.

Steeda ball joint or Cobra control arms?

In the pictures below you can see the ball-joint (pressed into the end of the A-arm) onto which the spindle will bolt to. the tie-rod can be seen also, and is not connected to the ball joint. Perhaps you are thinking of the ball-joint being in the end of the stock tie-rod -> and there is one...

Meziere Elec Water Pump & Twin Screw -> ?'s

They're nearly impossible to get a hold of these days. I've called twice and left a message about wanting to have them grind me some blower cam's. I can't have my heads worked until I get the cams since MPH keeps their cam-spec's secret.

Meziere Elec Water Pump & Twin Screw -> ?'s

Yeah that's what I need to figure out, is how taking that pulley out of the equation will affect the routing of the belt. But also, the width of the standard pully appears skinnier than the width of the undersized pulley. If I use an 8-rib belt, I'll need the wider pulley or no pulley.

Steeda ball joint or Cobra control arms?

How? I don't understand. The bump-steer is just a spherical bearing on the end of the tie-rod end. The only thing the taller ball joint does is lower the a-arm and spring at the same rate. The bump-steer tie-rod ends attach to the spindle so how do they conflict? From what I understand...

    Disaster struck yesterday....

I think someone already asked, but I don't see an answer: Is this problem with only the PI head? I haven't heard of this in the Non-PI heads.

Meziere Elec Water Pump & Twin Screw -> ?'s

Really? I was leaning more towards not having the pulley at all. I know its just free-spinning, but that seems to be more reason not to have the belt drag on it all.

Meziere Elec Water Pump & Twin Screw -> ?'s

I'm going to use one of these electric water pumps on the new motor in my car. Its going to be a blower motor with a twin screw, and I notice that Meziere offers three models... one with no pulley, one with a standard pulley and one with an undersized pulley for blower clearance. I want to run...

    Disaster struck yesterday....

I could be way off, but from the direction that the metal threads are curved (upwards) it appears that the damage to the threads was done when it was screwed into the head. If it were blown out of the head, wouldn't the stripped threads be curved downward, towards the cylinder?

Steeda ball joint or Cobra control arms?

When I lowered my 96 GT I installed the following parts: > 2" fixed-rate Springs > Polyurithane A-arm Bushings > Polyurithane Sway-Bar Bushings > Tokico's > Steeda Bump Steer kit > UPR 4-bolt Caster/Camber plates The wheels could be properly aligned, however there were still issues...

Mach 460 Door speakers "only for bass," but all aftrmkt 5x7's have tweeters...??

Ok, so I am planning on getting an aftermarket head unit. I'm literally car-audio ignorant. Is there anything that I need to look for in an aftermarket unit that would be ideal for the Mach 460 setup? I guess I'll go ahead and replace the door speakers with two-way 5x7's and I'll have the...

    Cobra R rotors warped

I work in the center of the fifth largest city in Texas so from the moment I exit the highway to the the time I park in the garage, I'm on the brakes pretty hard. The loops and chicanes between the highway and the street signals are the most exhilarating part of my daily commute. Leaving...

    Cobra R rotors warped

Do rotors commonly warp after one day of twisty-track use though? Maybe the ultra-cheap ones that you buy from AutoZone, haha. I'm hell on my brakes and I don't have troubles with warped rotors. Even on the streets I go through a set of tires in 12 months, brake pads about every 8 months. I...

    Cobra R rotors warped

I don't think the rotors that come with that kit are vastly different than a standard replacement rotor you'd buy for any Cobra. I could be wrong, but the only way to know for sure is to have whoever engineered/produced them (Brembo) explain the materials used and the process in which the...

14" Saleen brakes - Why won't it fit 96-98 Mustang?

Once in a blue moon, if you have the patience to spend the time looking. ;) Right now about the cheapest retail price that I know of on the R kit is at buyfordracing.com. But it can be found for less some days. I tried to call Saleen today, but of course they are closed on Sundays. Oh...
