    Flex-a-lite fan

When was the last time Detroit (or Tokyo or Stuttgart for that matter) put mechanical fans on their cars? I don't claim to know but I'd bet it was ~25 years ago. Initially I'd guess it was because of a cost savings via using electric, but now I'm willing to bet it has more to do with liability...

Don't forget the other drivers and pedestrians around him.

    Fresh Engine Start Woes.... GRRRR!

180 degrees of cam rotation (which drives the distro) not crank rotation.

Yup, and the second wire is a ground. These sensor are little more than an automatic on/off switch.

I didn't know about the T-Bird, must've been the square ones that were out before the "aero" look (1985?) that dominated NASCAR for a while. The new T-Bird is based on a Lincoln chassis I think, so is the new Stang.

total accuracy. The fox platform was originally designed for the Fairmont, remember those? LOL. The Mustang II was based on the Pinto chassis too...oooops. Of course our beloved early models were merely Falcons :D

05 GT warranty expires in 3 weeks

FWIW...I just let my warranty expire last month. Only TSB that I know affected me was the gas tank filling issue, I only experience it at about half of the stations i visit, I decided that for me personally it was better to live with than letting some flunkie at the dealership get his grubby...

    Fresh Engine Start Woes.... GRRRR!

Are you 100% sure you stabbed the distro when you were at TDC on the compression stroke? If so my next guess is that you need to dial in more advance. Try rotating it while it is cranking.

Ford is suing companies for use of Mustang name?

:rlaugh: Somewhere....probably...my 2005 Mustang is a really nice car...SOMEONE up there has SOME brains...right?

I'm not sure either. Apparently he wants someone to provide blueprints/drawings/CAD-files for free so he can have his friend with the CNC equipment make a set for him and he won't have to pay for someone else's IP or effort and time.

    Flex-a-lite fan

As far as the sensor is concerned, if you have one of those that wedge in between the fins of the radiator...throw it away. Even if they work when new they'll fail to work well over time. They'll get loose or get dirty or corrode and make a bad (thermo) connection eventually. I got one that...

Ford is suing companies for use of Mustang name?

Has anything been resolved on this issue? I see all of the vendors still have their names and all. Only thing I can see anywhere are some basic disclaimers about "not affiliated with Ford Motor Company" and such. I'm guessing someone in Dearborn with a brain called off the dogs?

    FS: new headers

I have had terrible luck with headers on my car, bought two sets already and neither one fits just right. My losses will be someone's gain. Putting these up here before they go on eGay. Technically these are used since they've been installed but neither set has ever been fired. The Hedman's came...

    Consoles

Dang, nice work you two! You guys have some skills with wood. How do they attach to the car, gravity? I also notice that Tim's has a more sculptured base, sort of like the factory consoles did, was that done with trial and error...fitting/grinding/sanding until it fit just right? Frankly though...

Bnickel, agreed. Throw in a set of 13 inch rotors and the contest is ovah! I yanked a brand new set of those 4-piston units for the 2-piston PBRs with 13s in a heartbeat.

    Post Pics of Your Mustang

 :hail2: :hail2: :hail2: :hail2: That is one of the best looking SN197s I've seen...ever. Quick question...what kind of camera are you using, and are you using an editor to pump up the pictures in any way?

    Consoles

That's almost the exact words I used when I got the quote, the actual words aren't allowed here. But then I saw how much they (Scott Drake) wanted for a repro of the original one, they want a cool grand for them! :jaw:

    Consoles

Roy, So how much are they getting for them? I figure mine should be much rarer for a convertible (different floor) and A/C car (shorter console up front). I always did like the look of the original, the '67 deluxe interior is one of the best interiors FoMoCo ever made in my opinion. My second...

    94-04 calipers on 67-68

I guess that all comes down to exactly what kind of stock/vintage brakes your classic has. If you have any year of drum then for sure the V6 discs from any SN95 are better. Arguably true if you have the 68-70 single piston discs too. But if you have the 4-piston (Kelsey Hayes?) design I'm gonna...
