Thanks for all the great help guys. Saleen...that diagram helped a bunch. Matter of fact, while recovering all my wire looms, cleaning up the connectors, etc...I did come across an empty connector near the base of the passenger shock tower. I am sure that is the center crash connector's...

Final help for the center crash sensor and hatch light...

Good evening guys....long day out in the garage. Yes, the left and right sensors are in place and wired up. This car has obviously been pieced together from who knows what. The front clip appears to be from another car...red paint showing through on this forest green car! The radiator...

Where is Power Window Relay Located?

gcw, I might be off on the terminology about what you are looking for, but there is a power window breaker mounted up on the rear stud of the starter solenoid. The rectangular silver box mounted on the rear stud in the engine compartment controls the power to the windows on convertibles...

Steeda Triax shifter installed...I think I have big troubles?!

Thanks guys. I have had some experience with aftermarket shifters and setting the stops. Still, I went ahead, as some of you suggest, and rechecked the stops. They appear as they should be, with a slight gap resting, and just touching when pushing the stick firmly. I have backed off the...

Here's some more info about what i'm up against working on this car.... I replaced the thermostat and housing today. Of course I had to drain down the antifreeze, so I checked all the lines, overflow bottle...WAIT...where's the overflow bottle? I found a gallon milk just that had the top cut...

Final help for the center crash sensor and hatch light...

OK guys That was some GREAT help! Yes, this is for the 92 GT Hatchback. Should have kept my 93 vert, that's for sure! I guess the pictures explain why I have an airbag code 41 flashing...there is no center crash sensor, bracket, or anything on mine?! I don't even see any wiring for it...

Final help for the center crash sensor and hatch light...

Hey guys. I am bringing my 2 ongoing questions into one place here. I keep asking about there being a "Forward CENTER crash sensor" for the airbag. You guys post that, "yes, there is one". OK, great, but WHERE does it mount? I cannot find any spot it can mount to...no bracket, no...

Steeda Triax shifter installed...I think I have big troubles?!

Hey guys. I got my Steeda Triax shifter installed today...looks great. New leather boot, the works. I already have the steeda clutch , firewall adjuster, cable, etc. I was hoping the new shifter would help, but not looking too good. When I took over the car from my son I noticed it was...

man my mustang just ruins the fun of riding in other cars.

foxfan, I was around here back as a founding member. I built up my 93 GT Vert with every part known to the mustang world. I worked every inch of that car. Thousands and thousands of dollars went into it, along with a lot of sweat and tears. I ended up feeling like you.....with the new...

    97 Cobra Trans/Clutch Problem

Hello Cobra owner!!! Welcome to Stangnet. You are posting in the 5.0 section, so you might get more response posting in the 4.6 area. Anyhow, in general, with the gears popping out you might check to see if it has an adjustable clutch linkeage. If the clutch cable is adjustable it might...

Help figuring out the Hatch light circuit???

Thanks guys. I'll get on it first thing tomorrow morning. If you could see, or have seen before we started working on this car, the condition of the wiring, you would be surprised the car had not been engulfed in flames by now. A 8 year old kid must have needed a school science project or...

    My tach doesn't work also

jhonda, I am wondering about the coil hookup. Are you sure you are hooked into the NEGATIVE side of the coil? If on the positive side I would guess you are grounding out the starter..or worse. Worth a double check because your hookup shouldn't cause the car not to start. Ken

Cannot solve this issue: hesitation at anything more than part throttle

I often sound like a broken record when incidents similar to this pop up, but based on my previous experience with a similar problem on my 93, it ended up being a faulty TFI module on the distributor. I bought an Auto Zone version which didn't help squat. I bought a Ford TFI module and it...

    Power window Problem

On the verts the circuit breaker you mentioned is the rectangular silver box mounted on the rear stud of the starter solenoid in the engine compartment. I had that go bad on my 93 vert and my windows stopped working. I don't recall now where I purchased a new one...Ford or Auto Zone? That...

    Air bag light

OK, thanks. Then where, pray tell, is the center sensor mounted? I see no signs of one, nor a mounting location anywhere. I don't see any open bolt holes where one would have been mounted? It would sure help to know where this mystery center sensor should be located. Thanks, Ken

Keep them or get rid of them? Opinions please

Yeah, I'm the "old Fart" that darkwriter is talking about. They don't bother me and I like them for their USE in the hot weather her is SW Texas. I don't have them on my mustang, but on the Explorer they have been great. I would rather worry over cam timing, spark plugs, and making traction...

Help figuring out the Hatch light circuit???

Thanks Bullit. I know I have aged tremendously since dumping my prized 93, so forgive me...but I must be blind. Where is the hatch switch? I am probably looking right at it, but for the life of me I don't see it. I figured a switch of some sorts might be a culprit, but I can't find one...

    Air bag light

Shaker, sorry to bother you just once more on this.... I followed the link to the airbag diagnostic test series and it makes sense except for one thing. The checklist keeps referring to a LEFT front, CENTER front, and RIGHT front crash sensor circuit. I don't recall ever having a CENTER...

    Temperature Sending Unit Size

Not sure if this would be of interest to you....but... I have a mechanical H2O temp guage hooked up on my car. I bought a new water outlet neck from Auto Zone that includes a threaded plug port. The Autometer adapter that is included with the guage fits perfectly. I just substituted the new...
