    no it should not mess up the timing as, that sprocket would be the same regardless of shaving the head or not. When you shave a head it will need a slightly diff timing adjustment. I cant remember which way though. Dont feel bad, I shaved the head on my 2.0 and it also runs and idles...

    heheheheee, shaved heads are cool. I just wish mine actually put out more power. I still gota figure out what is not tuned right. I think it might be the intake restricting flow. (ford sierra but similar to mustang).

    the turbos from the early 79-81 are a special breed of turbos designed to fit a special manifold and for carb aplications. are they in good shape? how much you wanting? I believe they are more like a t-2 they arnt all that big. there is a couple of us on here that can use them. later.

    could probably even modify some heat wrap to create a heat barrier before the rubber boot. The sierras use a big foam insert to deaden noise and a rubber boot over that and last the boot cover that is visible. works well.
