    Just got a 98 GT(WARNING: N00b Q's inside!)

    1) keep the setup as is, unless you want to get a nice looking cold air kit. But that is about as good as it gets for that sort of thing. 3) I'd look at the u-joints, sounds like them. 4 & 5) I'd honestly look to see if the owner did anything to the car, other then the maintenance...

help diagnose my fog light issue..

pure shot in the dark here, but... Maybe the ballasts aren't getting enough oomph to get them sparked up. I'm not sure how to correct that other then new ballasts. Have you tried turning them off manually then turning them on again? If so what was the outcome?

    tales of woe...

Well interesting things happened. I went to replace the cable and noticed it was a bit different then the one that I just bought. The new one was tight as heck and I only had about 3mm of actual useable clutch... so I started looking around more and saw a couple of goodies. Steeda Quadrant and...

    tales of woe...

Well I went through and checked on the clutch/flywheel, and things are good there, he probably got that done at a shop. Clutch cable will be here tomorrow, but in the meantime I'm getting the hang of driving "speed-shifting" I think it's called.. :) It's a very interesting concept. I only...

    tales of woe...

well the car went to the tranny shop. It was worse then I expected. I guess the previous owner had "installed" 3:73's... every bolt was loose or sheered off when the case was opened. The ring gear was held on by 2 bolts. all the bearings were trash. There were a few large gouges out of the case...

    405-25-24's?

no doubt.. it looks like a toy. I'm all for big tires and decently big rims, but that is rediculous.

looks like I'm getting gears :(

I know I should be a happy guy, but my rear end crapped out (rotational clunk, often related to broken spider gears)... So... I'm pricing out some 4:10's and hopefully getting them done cheap (I really need to get a daily driver) I could do them if I didn't work every day and have no spare time...

    Am I asking too Much?

I bought one for the 3650 (which is less common) for $85 shipped to canada. It was from a gathering of horses type site. thats all I can really offer for information, oh and that I wouldn't pay that much for a used one, no matter how non-used it was... no offense.

    computer question.

I don't remember the code numbers exactly right now except for the P0602, but the others were inoperative 02's on all 4 banks (so 4 codes there) and two for the evap system leaks. Yes I did the reset procedure for 1/2 hr. I also cleared the codes 2 times and both times they came right back...

    computer question.

So... To make a long story short. Got a 2001 Cobra, had an electric waterpump installed when I got it. A week ago the pump shorted out, and was wired into the main harness. Soon after check engine light came on. 4 O2 sensor and evap canister codes came up as well as a P0206 (reflash comp), I...

wow!!! some fun last few days..

oh I forgot to add that this is not an april fools joke (it's too late anyways...) and I will never trust a waterpump to be electric on a daily driven car from this point.
