    here is the wiring diagram, it is the red/ lt green wire running between two wire off of the ignition switch. it says that is a resistance wire, which makes me think that isn't th problem, since resistance = heat to put it simply. Wiring diagram it is diagram number 11. thanks -aj

    i don't know what they were originally, but i did say that they were over a year old so the resistance would probally build up... the only reason i ask is because my shop manual says that they shouldn't be over 5000, which seems pretty high to me.

    I just tested my plug wires and they average 1008 ohms per foot. I have Ford Racing 9mm plug wires, are those numbers good? their about a year and 3 months old. Thanks, -aj
