Wire getting really hot ?

a red and green wire is getting really hot that is running from my ignition switch, I looked at the diagram and it says that the wire is a resistance wire, which makes me think that it's supposed to get hot. Can someone verify this for me. in the diagram it's the red / lt green wire that is a short between two of the wires running off the ignintion switch at the upper right hand side of the diagram.
