    65 wiper washer foot pump?

The 65-66 factory washers worked from a pump mounted just under or near the washer bag. No hoses went into the cabin area, only the wire from the pump, went to the wiper switch. The pump was activated by pulling the wiper switch out.

    recommendations on a Plasma Cutter

I have an ESAB, and am very pleased with it, but it was a lot more then 400.00. The problem with doing frame rail jobs, is you are trying to cut out rust, and plasma cutters by design work on a good electrical ground, something that rusty metal doesn't provide.

    Is this thing a fuse?

It is a circut breaker. It acts like a fuse, but instead of blowing out and having to be replaced, it will reset itself. On a early mustang they are used on convertible tops. Other uses include foglights, etc.

Tell me about Copper Nickel brake lines

According to the manufacture, copper nickel brake lines are the best thing since sliced bread. But they seem too good to be true, they bend easy, won't rust, are DOT approved, flare easily, and can be polished to a stainless like shine. And the price isn't that bad. Anybody using them?

It was a new pump, was I supposed to prime it before I installed it? I guess the pan will need to come off to check the releif valve. Thanks for the response 2+2GT

    Need some oil pump help!

Hello all, I am helping a buddy put an 87 HO engine in his 68 F/B. We switched to a front sump oil pan, along with a new oil pump and pick up, both from NAPA. My problem is I can't seem to prime the engine. I put in a total of 5 qts. of oil, prefilled the oil filter, and I am spinning the...

    Shelby 10 spoke advice needed

My original 68 Shelby 10 spokes are stamped (and measure) 4 1/2 backspace. All the repros I have seen are 4 1/4 backspace. So I am thinking the repros will push the wheel closer to the fender.

    Wheel & Brake Kit Combination

I agree that larger wheels sometimes look out of place on the early classics, but I am kind of getting used to seeing 17 inch wheels on the early cars, and it is growing on me. Building my 65 F/B restomod, I have found out that if you want to upgrade to larger brakes, you need to get larger...

68 Fastback- rear bumper fitting problem

Actually, that looks like a pretty good fit. Check pictures of other Mustangs and you will see most bumpers stick out past the 1/4 panel. I think reproduction bumpers in paticular fit like this.

    what type of bondo

Evercoat Rage is ok for a production shop where cost is a factor. But for your own car spend the extra money and buy the Evercoat Rage Extreme. It is easier to spread, and MUCH easier to sand versus the std. Rage. Cost is just under 50 bucks a can.

I need some help with body prep on my fastback

Thanks for the replys guys! Rustynut, I also am "old school" and can't get use to putting filler and glazing putty over epoxy primer, but it's a new world. (back when I learned to paint, primer was allways lacquer based, and there was only one color of black paint) I just wasn't sure of the...

I need some help with body prep on my fastback

Hello all, I am starting the paint prep work on the body of my 65 F/B and have a few questions. 1. I stripped the roof, cowl and deck lid, and found a fair amount of surface rust. Much of it has pitted the metal. After I removed the rust with an acid based product called Rust B Gone, there is...

    Anyone try hoades lifters?

I put them in a 351W I had. The hydraulic cam was pretty radical and when I installed air cond. on the car, the engine would stall out at idle if the air was on. The lifters worked as advertised, although it tapped a little louder then I would have liked at lower rpms. It didn't really sound...

What waterpump on FRPP crate motor?

I'm also a bit confused by this standard rotation, reverse rotation pump thing. The part number on the timing cover pictured is E7 87), so wouldn't a reverse rotation pump be factory correct? I just purchased a timing cover from Ford Motorsport, it looks like the one pictured, and the...

    69 Hood Hinges

There is a good chance you just don't have them adjusted correctly. Try this- loosen the hinge bolts on the inner fender, and while the hood is open, push up and back on the hood, you want to rotate the hinges toward the windshield, which means when your done, the bolts won't look like they are...
