Weight balance on a classic stang

Anybody have a clue or hear of a good guesstimation on the weight balance of our classic cars? I know the newer cars are nose heavy. Just curious as to the old ones.

Help me settle this bet with Restomods

Well I thought about it... and if someone offered me 15k, I'd say no. Simply because I have almost 12k into it (purchase price included). So I look at it as a replacement cost. How easy would it be to replace what I have? I think it might be tougher than most people think. And I'd only be...

Help me settle this bet with Restomods

They are ALL money pits. The only ones that fetch more are the ones that are rare. And like others have said, you still have to find a buyer. There are only two types of guys making money on these cars... 1) the ones who find them cheap or totaled and can rebuild them for next to nothing...

And thus, I am banging my head on the wall...

I'd vote for "do the time". I know it sucks to wait a month or however long to get the wheels you want. I wait five or six months every year to drive my car because of where I live. Grinding stuff is a one way street. Also, I'm not sure why you'd want to spend ANY money on wheels that...

    Hydraulic Clutch

I currently have manual brakes. I'm not sure if I will go with a booster yet. I did see JMC's alternative. I haven't investigated it yet.

    Battery in trunk..

Thanks for the pic... that's what I envisioned. My only concern was it's ability to stay put when I autocross. My buddy had one in his 91 fastback and didn't express any concerns. He also autocrossed. The one I just ordered was the one from Summit. Just like the one showed in the above pic.

    Battery in trunk..

I want to buy a kit to move my battery to the trunk. Who's done this and whose kit did you buy. No, I don't have the ability to make my own. I notice Summit has one for less than $50. Good enough? thanks.

    Flywheel

Is it necessary to replace my flywheel during a C4 to T5 swap? They're quite expensive... and I was wondering if it's a must or recommended. Any hidden problems if I don't? thanks

    Hydraulic Clutch

I was looking around the JMC site and could not find any pricing. Anybody? Also, I've see write ups on the cable install... but not on the hydraulic. Anybody?

    B&M Shift Improver Kit

How long did it take you guys? Is it a simple matter of jacking the car, pulling the pan, and replacing parts?

    B&M Shift Improver Kit

Well my piggy bank isn't filling up fast enough. I'm still investigating clutch options, and I have found a source for my five speed. In the mean time though I picking up the above mentioned kit and was wondering if anyone has done this to their C4? Two cents? Oh, how many quarts of fluid...

    Hydraulic Clutch

I was looking at the JMC kit and thinking this may be what I'd like to go with. I found a guy local that will build me a fresh T5 for $600 or T5z for $750 (complete tear down and re-assembly with new parts). Very nice guy with a tool and die maker background. So I need to get on the trail...

Why fellow fastback People so frumpy?

The obvious choice is b) But now I know better not to assume that you or anybody else would understand that. My bad... I'll blame the whole thing on a combination of me and the "Pussification of America" check George Carlin..... REALLY BUMS ME OUT MAN..... Next thing ya know it...

Why fellow fastback People so frumpy?

It is absolutely incredible to see how thin skinned people are with no fricken sense of humor. Along with being completely naive. If you lack the knowledge to read thru a blanket pale statement to realize the guy is just kidding. You need to do a little soul searching. Get out, smell the...

    So who's married?

Married, almost six years, two kids, boy and girl. Anything worthwhile has to be worked for. I knew my wife as a friend for seven years before we dated and got married at 29. Don't let other peoples experiences rule your attitude. Good or bad. There's always plus's and minus's from...

    Post your best short joke...

I tell my wife this one all the time... How many women does it take to change a light bulb? None, they'd rather sit in the dark and bittch about it.
