    Supertrapp Mufflers

Hey people... I was just flipping thru my Summit catalog and came across the Supertrapp muffler section. I was just curious if anybody has used these. I was thinking for the guys who are interested in running their exhaust out the side these may work. Mainly, because like myself, I have the...

    Holley wiring

Hey, the previous owner had the positive choke wire spliced into the wiring for the heating blower motor. I just yanked out the heating system along with that blower motor. Where is the best place to re-attach that wire? I mentioned it to a friend and he cautioned that I need to make sure it...

    67 68 R model racing apron pics

I think it looks just fine. I'm glad to finally see one of these R aprons on a 67 without the bumper. I like it. Now if I can just see one of those new ones from Cobra Automotive on a car....

    What is that thing?

Come on.... really? So if I look in there I'll see a light bulb? That's funny. Considering the didn't even have belts when I bought it. I just put in a fresh set of Simpson's.

    Suspension Help/Suggestions Needed

Yup... I have pretty much done what these guys have listed also. Altough I did not spring for the expensive upper and lower arms. A couple of things to add though (that I'd like to add also): steering is huge. So much of how the car's "feel" is through that steering wheel. Whatever you...

    What is that thing?

Please ignore the wiring hanging down... I've been tearing around looking for the wiring to my brake light switch (the previous owner put a stereo in with a chit load of wiring). What is the chrome thingy thing hangin there in the middle of the picture. It's mounted an L bracket to the dash...

    Seriously now.... WTF??!!!

That's a great idea. I'll have to remember that for when I do anything under there that will take alot of time. I sure didn't think find these wires would be that much of a hassle.

    Seriously now.... WTF??!!!

I did find that diagram... thanks. What I believe it is saying is that the wire group used for the brake lighting is the same that is used for the turn signal, running lights, plate light, etc... So I want to say that the wires running back are okay. I just can't believe there aren't...

    Seriously now.... WTF??!!!

Okay, screw it. Who needs brake lights? I laid down under there again for twenty minutes looking for wiring to attach to the the brake light switch. Nothing. I quit.

What is the diameter of my stock 67 steering wheel?

I'd guess 15"? I'm looking for a Grant replacement.... Want one smaller... but not too small. I found one I like... 13.75 diameter. It'll help me get in the car too!!!!!

    Streetable 289 Stroker

I have the same goals with the same ingredients as you. I would like to keep the 289 and build it. I think if you could disclose a total budget amount that would give alot of the guys in here a target to shoot for. Things like local labor shops, crate engine options, stroker kit costs...

    Seriously now.... WTF??!!!

Alright... I talked to one of my most trusted car dudes in the shop and he said that no matter what... there HAS to be wires connected to that brake gizmo on the pedal for the lights to work. So I guess I just have to try again.

    Seriously now.... WTF??!!!

Okay... well I guess all I can do is take another look at those wiring bundles. I asked the wife this morning and she's positive that my brake lights have worked in the past.

    Seriously now.... WTF??!!!

Okay guys.... I'll check in the morning and get back here tomorrow... Gotta get some sleep. Thanks for your time.......

    Seriously now.... WTF??!!!

Dude I don't know what the P.O. may have done. The gizmo looks fine to me. The two spades are clear as day in front of my nose... with no connectors or wire or anything attached. I layed there a good 15 minutes trying to find the connectors that may belong to it. Nothing.

    Seriously now.... WTF??!!!

Okay, about a week ago I had started a thread that my brake lights were out. The turn signals work fine. I didn't pull any fuses to check them because nobody mentioned that there may be a single specific fuse for the brakes alone. A couple people mentioned the gizmo right on the brake pedal...
