    New Engine and Tweecer

Just an update, got the battery in the trunk mount now and hooked all the wiring to the engine back up. Changed the plugs out again as the car was running really rich and finally got it to idle (after adjusting the throttle body and messing with the tps voltages in BE). Doing some data logging...

    New block..Oil pump failed

probably snapped the oil pump drive shaft, as for that g-force tranny my little brother has one in his stang and I can tell you the thing whines really hard with those straight cut gears, and shifting sounds like someone threw a engine block out the window. That tranny is heavy duty.

    Drum brake smoking

make sure u have the auto adjuster on the bottom of the brake assembly totally in the closed position, check that the metal bar below the piston assembly has the spring in it and is seated correctly (on the brake shoe and e-brake slot), lastly you may beed to bleed you brakes to allow the brake...

    Drum brake smoking

I just struggled through a drum brake rebuild on my mustang and it's not fun at all. Get a set of proper drum brake tools as it makes the job easier (spring tool, adjuster, and retainer tool). One of the biggest tricks I found was on my 93 the parking/e-brake doesn't have a provision for a clip...

Anyone running SPEC brand clutch or have any experience with this?

i've got a stage 3 spec clutch (which technically should be stiffer than yours) and mine feels nice and smooth, maybe a little bit harder than stock. I also have an adjustable cable quadrant and I replaced the clutch fork and throw-out bearing when I rebuilt the engine. Compared to my brothers...

    New Engine and Tweecer

Well it's been a long time since I've tried posting stangnet but after moving to my new house and getting settled in my brother and I have tried to resurrect the beast after about a 2 year down time. Prior to moving I had the car in the tuning stages, to the point where the engine sounded...

    Rear Mount Battery Shut-Off

Looking for some advice on the rear mount shut-off switch, recently my brother and me changed up his wiring on his rear mounted battery to try and avoid charging issues since the guy before him didn't take it into consideration when hooking it up. To me something still doesn't seem right with...

    Tweecer CID Question

Don't quote me but i think i read somewhere that some tuners used to change CID function as a hack way of tuning a car rather than spending the time to adjust the functions and scalars properly. And I don't think ur eec should read that as a tune unless u have chip installed which wouldn't make...

    .30 Over

its boarder line but i'm running low boost 6-7lbs and its on a 347 stroker engine. Yes if i were to run really high boost than i would have went with a lower cr, 8:5-1 or just around 9

    .30 Over

I'm 12:5:1 ratio and under boost i've seen guys into the 13:5:1 ratio on a NA combo but thats with race gas. For street ur not going to see much fuel ratings much higher than 93 octane with a few exceptions, and buying octane booster as a fuel addative each time u fill up a daily driver is going...

    .30 Over

Depends boring a block is a couple hundred dollars, the real work is balancing the parts and assembly of the short block. If u have the money might want to consider a stroker kit rebuilt if your going to have the block bored and redone, As far as compression the easiest way to raise it would be...

Car won't start after being garaged

thanks for the info I actually read through all that before posting but it didnt seem to help. I'm really starting to grasp at staws here, aside from the eether into the tb and injector harness (doubt cause plugs are fouling due to flooding) testing with a noid light im starting to go crazy. I...

Car won't start after being garaged

Over the coarse of a few years I put together my project car (mods in sig) when money was available. During the end of the completion stage I had the car running consistantly but fairly rough due to no tune. I bought a tweecer system and fiddled around with it. Over time the the car sat idle for...

Engine Finished Now What Do I TWEEC

To make a long story short. I built this car back in college and its been sittin in my garage about 90% done until recently I decided to tackle the tuning part with it again. I'm new to the tweecer and would like any pointers/tips where to start. Here is what I did already, I have a feeling im...

Smog Pump Tube And New X-pipe

awhile back I bought a new catted x-pipe from ebay, looks great well made but there is a discrepency cause the tube that connects the smog pump to the cats is facing in another direction other than the stock one. Aside from this the tubes are different outer diameters so it doesn't fit at all...

    Clutches?

the biggest thing to get when you buy the kits like these is a geniune ford cable not an aftermarket one. I actually bought me quadrant and firewall adjuster together and bought the ford cable seperate. Plus you want a aluminum type quadrant so it is rigid and doesn't defeclt when pressed like a...

    Clutches?

wait the cable wouldn't reach cause the clutch is worn down, thats a load of bs. I don't care if you have no clutch left if the cable doesn't reach its because they didn't route it right.

Any problems with installing a 255 LPH pump with stock injectors?

order a new tank filler gasket while your at it cause the old one probably will be torn and its better to do it now when u cahnge the pump rather than dropp it again after its already back on the car. about 15 bux at your ford dealer (you don't want gas leaking out of the tank).
