    hey black stallion mine is a 96 and it has been doing it for years...exact same symptoms to the t. I believe also its valve seals from what i could dig up...if you ever find out for sure please let me know...i will do the same...i am still deciding what to do.

    Hey 313stang...i sent u a pm then...its probably your valves seals or valve guides..i have the same exact problem and with all the research i have done thats what it looks like. I am not sure on price maybe someone will chime in but i think seals would be like 600 or so and rings would be a lot...

    before i put my x pipe on i had 2 chambers welded in on my 96 and i couldn't notice much difference at all over the stock mufflers..but i can tell you if you take off your cat-pipe and replace it with an off-road one...especially with the one chambers..it will be night and day.     ya i would say mine goes through a little more than a quart every 3000 but when i put the cats back on for inspection you cant see the smoke..only when they are off...I just added some CD-2 which i was doing a little reading about hopefully that will help..but it has been doing it since 40,000 miles

    Ya go with your gut...i got the magnapacks but i was thinking of slp...i have an offroad x pipe and between 1500-1800 it rumbles nice....there is a loud raspy bark to it when your on it from 2500-3000 then up top its not much louder than flows....your best bet also is to go to the track and ask...

    Are they as loud as flows? Hows is the fit on the catback? NE one have clips? I want something different but mean...also like the crackle when downshifting :D :D

    need some help with exhaust!!!

    I currently have o/r x with two chambers on my 96 gt but want to switch to the packs...and maybe an H...can anyone with soundclips of the packs post them...or anyone with advice let me know..i am hoping they will be louder and i am ordering them in a couple days. :shrug:
