The Wilwood Superlite Brake Kit Thread

No, the original E-brake mounts inside the drum, on the Wilwood kit, it mounts outside. Also, when I installed the TCP rear pushrod suspension system, I had to cut away the frame mounted E-brake brackets, they interfered with the forward weldments of the TCP frame clip. The Wilwood drums has...

The Wilwood Superlite Brake Kit Thread

How did you guys hook up the footbrake to the Lokar wire kit? Did you replace all the wires up to the pedal itself, or just under the car? Post pictures if you got 'em!

Heater hose barb/fitting for Edelbrock Air Gap

I used an 1/2" NPT to -10 AN fitting, and a -10 AN hose end. Looks good, and it's easily removable if you need to disconnect it.

    ok i cant find it

If your car is an San Jose plant car (R in the VIN), it doens't have a buck tag. An Meutchen plant car (T in the VIN) will have it on the passenger fender. The Dearborn (F in the VIN) cars will have it down by the radiator on the driver side.

Got a new Third-Member, did I F up the pinion yoke?

Sure does, Jerry! It's an 3.70 Detroit TrueTrac with 31-spline Strange S/S Street axles, in a Chassiswork FAB9 housing. Can't wait to get it on the road!

Got a new Third-Member, did I F up the pinion yoke?

I'm probably gonna swap in a TKO 600 next year, so I'll have to get a new driveshaft anyway then. A conversion u-joint will have to do until then. But thanks for the tip.

Got a new Third-Member, did I F up the pinion yoke?

Ok, just found some conversion u-joints. Does stock Mustangs use 1310 or 1330 u-joints?

Got a new Third-Member, did I F up the pinion yoke?

I just got my new Strange 9" with a Chromemoly yoke. It needs a 1350 style u-joint. Does my stock driveshaft accept this u-joint, or can I safly run a smaller u-joint?

    classic axle bearings

I just yesterday had bearings and the wedding ring pressed on my new Strange 31-spline axles. The instruction said that only 40-spline axles uses a sleeve under the bearing. I wouldn't know about OEM Shelby axles dough...

    351 Hp/value estimate

    Wouldn't a '83-'88 era block have a roller camshaft? If so, it's a plus.

Wilwood Superlite rear internal drum disc worth it?

I should be getting my 13" slotted rear Wilwood brakes next week. If you can wait, I'll report back when I got them installed, but it can take 2 weeks or so, gotta install a new rear end too, + new exhaust. About piston sizeing, I got the 4-piston 13" slotted Wilwoods up front, the big...

    70 hood scoop emblem

The Mach 1 didn't have a scoop emblem, but it was a tape with the engine size on the side of the scoop as part of the blackout. You can buy correct stencils here. Note that shaker scoop cars and regular scoop cars had different stripes.

Anybody have a Sean Hyland front end?

My brother has just gotten the XV Motorsports rear end for his '70 Cuda, he's planning to buy the front end too, which is the same stuff as the Sean Hyland suspension. Actually, the parts were developed by XV for the Mopar E-body and B-body, with expertise from Multimatic. Sean Hyland...

    New Radiator and 9 inch

Very nice units! I'm probably going for an aluminum radiator within a year, my brother has a Griffin in his '70 Barracuda, but it doesn't have a drain plug(!) Does the Ron Davis have that? And if you don't mind, what does it cost? Are they as expencive as the Be Cool ones?

    My $2000 Ignition - I need help!

Here's another one; when I installed my Crane HI-6 and Crane distributor, I could not get it to start, and I could not for the life of me find anything wrong. Turned out to be that my carb was so lean it burned up the fuel as it cranked, because of the multiple sparks. It didn't make enough...

    Car Hates Gas

I always keep the pump pistol as far out as I can, because I've experinced that when I put it all the way in, it will stop. By keeping it as far out as possible, the fuel can drain away before it stops the pump. And fill slowly when it's nearing full.

New Rims touching the upper A-arm.. what should I do?

I ran that exact same combo (17x8 245/45R17) with 4.5" BS, but that was with a Shelby-dropped A-Arm. The height of the arm is the same (at the spindle), but the angle isn't. But it was a very tight fit.
