New Rims touching the upper A-arm.. what should I do?

So I was installing my new 17x8 245/45R17 rims and looks like the back fit with no problems but when I got up front, it looks like the rims are hitting the upper a-arm.
How would I fix this problem?
What would be the best option to go?
P.S these came off a 94 Cobra.

Those are wheel with late model backspacing you have to use the adapters that bolt in place to add the inch to inch and half you need, total backspacing should be 4.75 inch for the front. Anything else will not be safe. You should also use them in the rear IMO to keep the tires in the same track and looking even in the wheel wells.
 
I just put 17x8 Torque thrust "M" w/ "0" offset (or 4" b.s.) on all four corners. Rear tires are 245/45, fronts are 225/45. Lock to lock on front, I have no problems. I went with Mustang Steve '08 GT front disc conversion as well. I think 4.75 b.s. would push my wheels in too far, front and rear. Looks killer!!!

You can go with spacers to solve your problem. I could have, but, I really hate spacers on wheels.

I believe 17" X 8", American Racing Torq-Thrust M's come with 4.5" of backspacing, so that would be a good fit.

I would grind back the ball joint dome. The rim isn't going to hit the ball joint, the sheet metal of the arm is in the way. Removing some of it won't hurt a thing. I would do that before putting in any kind of spacer.
 
I ran that exact same combo (17x8 245/45R17) with 4.5" BS, but that was with a Shelby-dropped A-Arm. The height of the arm is the same (at the spindle), but the angle isn't.
But it was a very tight fit.

I have the shelby drop too hopefully the spacers will work.

I found a couple of spacers on wbay for fairly cheap,
Should i buy the Bullet Alum or the Aircraft Alum or Crome Steel?
also I sould get the 1 inch or 1.25 inch?
 
I put a brace on the top and bottom. Either one will do it, both is overkill. Your not removing that much metal, no brace or a small brace of some kind would do it. It's just cutting off a bit of the ball joint dome so the bracing may not be needed at all. The brace I made for the top was easy to make and easy to weld in place. That would be my first option. With a upper arm like this, you can run a 15" wheel with 4.75" of backspacing.

The SN95 wheel thing has been covered so many times I'm surprized this still comes up.

Here it is plain and simple (at least for a 67):
SN95 wheels (95-04) you need a 1" adaptor
S197 (05+) you need a 1.5" adaptor
