    1969 connecting rod bearing dilemma...

I got some Speed Pro rod bearings from Summit. When I was about to install them, I noticed that they didn't have a oil feed hole for the piston cooling passage in the rod. Pictured is this boss on the rod, and my old Clevite 77 bearing. So I wrote an email to Summit (thinking the Speed...

rear axle is moving side to side...

A Panhard bar or a Watts Link is the way to go. Their only objective is to keep the rear axle centered.

    high flow oil pump

Dammit, I just ordered a HV pump from Summit. Should I send it back for a Standard volume pump? I lost a cam lobe last year, and the oil pump is the only part in the engine not protected by the filter right? So I thought I'd just get a HV pump while I was at it. Bad idea? I still have my old SV...

    Review for Randalls Rack

Same here, only heard good things about Randall's. But I gotta disagree with you on the customer being understanding. He was. Like 10secgoal said, if he had told him up front that he couldn't make the deadline for the delivery, then ok. He should not be understandig being told he will get...

    Holley 750

Before any carburetor tuning, the fuel bowl float level must be correct. If it's not, it might sound and look good on idle, but will pop or backfire when driving.

    Boss 429 motor swap

I say do it! If I could get my hands on a Boss 429 engine, my 351W wouldn't last a second before I ripped it out of there! The shock towers can be moved, and reinforced. They are e big part of the front ends strength, so I wouldn't cut them away for a MII setup. Then you would have no place to...

Difference in engine bay 69 vs. 70

Never heard of it. My '69 Fastback shares winter storage garage with a '70 Mach 1. I haven't noticed any differences in the sheetmetal/frame. Also I have a friend who once had a '68 Mustang Hardtop with a 351C. And those years have tighter enginebays than the '69. Aldough he never has told me...

    Tremec tips

On a '69 I'm pretty sure it's not a problem, but then again, the Toploader was original equipment on them, and both the TKO and the T-56 is based on the Toploader design. Don't know for earlier models Can they fit Toploaders without modifications? I think I read somewhere it might be an issue...

    Tremec tips

I don't think there is much money to save on this one... I'd go with the Keisler Perfect-Fit kit just for the convenience of it. It has all the parts needed for the swap, but you're looking at north of $3000. You gotta look at the whole picture here. You don't just need the transmission, but...
