    I have 325,000 miles on my front spindles. . . . . .

. . . . and I cannot cure a "loose" wheel clunk type noise on both sides of the car. Front bearings, races, rotors, grease are all new. So are the brake caliper sleeves. With the front in the air, I can shake/twist the wheel/tire at the 9 and 3 o'clock position and get no noise. At the 12...

    Exhaust Rattling

How does the Borla fit on the Passenger side? My old Borla set (I have Flows now) had the Passenger side MUFFLER hanging down noticeably lower than the Drivers side. Is yours that way?

    Front Brake Gurus: Enter Please!

Rotor turns fine. No bearing play. Slider pins are seated/tight, but I can move the caliper around a little. Should I be able to move this and have it make a noise when I hit it with my hand? Somewhere up front it rattles alot when going over bumps. New struts, isolators, springs...

    lug nut problems

I used my long chrome lug nuts from my '89 GT Turbine wheels for the new Ponys. It has worked fine for 250,000+ miles. Who is going to see them after you put the cover cap on? Save your money. You're good to go.

    Front Brake Gurus: Enter Please!

I got it jacked up and the front wheels off. Should I be able to move my front brake caliper(s) with my hand and make it rattle a bit? ? They both seem to do it. Or is this normal? I haven't noticed and I have done 3 brake jobs on this car since new. I have a LOT of weird banging going on...

    Front Passenger Wheel Loose?

I greatly appreciate the comments. One thing I forgot to mention is that it is more likely to make the clunk noise when it is warm outside than when it's cold. Seems strange but in the morning at 24 deg or so everything feels great and is solid. In the afternoon it has warmed to the 50's...

    Front Passenger Wheel Loose?

Well, . . . it still does the slight clunking noise on the passenger side. I can grab the front wheel (either side) yank it towards me and almost here the same clunk. Bearings are adjusted properly. Is it probable/possible the spindles are worn out? Any other ideas, please.

Can I see some Fox's with the exaust tips cut through the bumper

Not good. Few like that look. I always think of those classic Chris Craft brand boats when I see a GT with the pipes through the bumper. I will admit it looks great on a old wooden boat.

    Front Passenger Wheel Loose?

I did a search and "no joy". I have been getting a lot of popping noise from the front passenger wheel on my '89 GT. I jack it up and the wheel seems "loose". Lug nuts are tight so I figure it's just a loose bearing. I attempt to tighten it a little and it is still loose. I take the...

    What weight oil for tranny?

I have 316,000+ miles on my '89, 5.0, with a T-5 and the only transmission fluid I've ever used is MOBIL 1 SYNTHETIC ATF. I change the fluid once a year.

    First Shelby GT500 Casualty.......

Yikes. I'll bet/hope it's totaled. I would ask the paramedics for something to slit my wrists with if that was mine and the insurance company wanted to fix it.

    Offset Steering Rack Bushings?

I have the Maximum Motorsports Caster/Camber plates and the FMS B Springs and this lowers car less than an inch. Am I okay with just the offset steering rack bushings or am I looking at bump steer without the tie rod kit? Thanks

    Offset Steering Rack Bushings?

Okay, I did a search. The offset steering rack bushings are meant to "raise" (holes on top) or "lower" the power steering rack on a lowered (shorter springs) 89 Mustang GT? Thank you in advance.

    3.73's and highway speeds

I have 2.73's. I would like to have the 3.08's. Is it worth the total expenditure of $400 or so? Just a little more oomph is all I need.

Rear end loose, not like your thinking!

You do know your stuff. I am betting one of the shocks bolts inside the car is loose/missing. What was the final say on this?

    Anyone remember "Charlie's Mustangs"?

I was cleaning my '89 Mustang GT (293,000 original miles), that I purchased new, and remember Charlie Bruno of "Charlie's Mustangs" in San Jose installing my Global West subframe connectors. I took a day off from work and drove from Sacremento to San Jose (about 2.5 hours or so) to have him...

    Change Those Oxygen Sensors!

Change out those oxygen sensors every 50,000 miles. I had been living with a bad one for awhile and didn't realize it. Gradual performance loss to the point of me saying WTF is going on with this car? Just trying to help. Have a good day.

    Now, . . I have done it.

I replaced my fuel filter last night and am now having second thoughts as to the flow direction and whether I installed it correctly. Word to self: Install new brain. Can someone tell me if I am laying underneath the car with my head looking up at the differential and my feet pointing...
