Front Brake Gurus: Enter Please!

I got it jacked up and the front wheels off. Should I be able to move my front brake caliper(s) with my hand and make it rattle a bit? ? They both seem to do it. Or is this normal? I haven't noticed and I have done 3 brake jobs on this car since new.

I have a LOT of weird banging going on in the front when I hit bumps and it is NOT the wheel bearings. My car has 323,000 miles on the body.

Can you tell if the calipers are actually moving if so are the bolts tight... or is the rotor moving also

Rotor turns fine.

No bearing play.

Slider pins are seated/tight, but I can move the caliper around a little. Should I be able to move this and have it make a noise when I hit it with my hand?

Somewhere up front it rattles alot when going over bumps. New struts, isolators, springs, sway bar bushings, etc.

Is this the symptom for new slider pin sleeves needed on the calipers?

In my experience, it's normal for cars of our vintage. The sound resonates through the rotor and sounds louder than it really is. If it didnt make noise, chances are something would be bound up.

My first car had floating calipers and they were noisy - I don't even notice anything anymore. Can you replicate the noise any other way? End links that are too loose can make quite the noise when going over bumps.

Here's a quick test for a deserted parking lot or something like that: When going over a bump that would make the noise, do it once however you normally drive. Then try to do it again (safely and all that) with the brakes applied. With the brakes applied, you've loaded the calipers so they will be much less likely to 'clink'.
That might allow you to get closer to knowing the issue.

Before I put these on, it sounded like my car was going to fall apart when driving down a rough road. Search on them, I hope you can find a better price than listed on Steeda's site. I think I paid about $20 for them 2 years ago.
