    i've driven a 90 firebird in the snow, with some added weight in the back and never had a problem, but all these people say don't drive your fox in the winter :shrug: this is the first winter to own the car so i dunno.

    ah, well i'm glad i don't use it then, heh. i just start in 1st and hit it into D. when i first got the car i tried the shuffle and it missed and slammed back into 1st so i said forget it. next month i get my valve body though!

    you know, i've thought about either doing a super or turbo charger, but i don't know if my AOD will hold up to it. I'd be really interested in putting one on if it would hold up until i could do a tranny swap. i may not evne do the tranny swap though if i like the valve body. and for only $3700...

    i want to do the timing, but i don't have $40 to spend on a timing light that i'll use once or twice and that's it. what's the importance of a timing light? wouldn't a flashlight allow you to see the degrees? hahaha.

    the 86 GT did not have the ground effects that the 87-93 have. and it has the four-eyed headlights. the body was modified in 87. and the 86 5.0 was rated at 200hp, 87 jumped to 225hp and 285ft/lb to 300ft/lb. just a little info

    here comes the computer geek side of me... i didn't really explain in full what i was thinking. today i had to help a friend that had a thing mounted in his sentra that you had to use a remote to unlock the wheel, the remote broke and there was a push button wired as a backup behind the dash...

    quick question on the GT fog switch, is it a seperate switch from the headlights? or is it you push one in, the both go in? i forgot to ask that and if it is "both" than i'd have to find a new way... and thanks for the link, this will come in handy.

    got it! since i'm new to the the whole car thing, i was lost so i took it down to autozone, three blocks away and popping all the way there, truned it off, talked to the guy about it. we figured the distributor must have been turned wrong (timing i assume) so he told me to just wire it back up...

    ok, i got everything replaced, i wired it to the 1-4-2-7-6-5-3-8, it was running like normal. then i wired it to the 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 and it shakes the whole car, so i took it for a drive around the block and all i hear is "pop pop pop" misfires. is my engine an outcast?
