Any Difference Between the Mustang and Lincoln 5.0?

Depends.. Some lincolns did come with an 5.0 HO. I think its was the Mark series or something like that. If it came out of a lincoln towncar or a continital it is a NON HO 5.0 The differance between the non HO and HO - firing order, injector size, throttle body size, exhaust manifolds...

    Please Help, I'm at a Loss :(

I've seen Mass air slow sensors do similar things when they go out. But your problem sounds very intermittant. Double check the ingnition system ,electrical conections and the vac system. But to be honest, it really sounds like a fuel pump problem to me

can u blow a fusible link?

A blown Fuse links can be difficult to trace but once you do find it, replace it with an inline fuse. That way when you reapply power to the system and it shorts out cause of a hard fault you can quickly find the prob and easily replace the fuse when once you fix it. Just remember to use the...

    C4 driveshaft length?

I,ve been told that the 4speed shaft is longer than C4. Not 100% sure on that. A 4speed shaft is about 45 3/4 inchs measured from u-joint center to u-joint center. Don't know of any aftermarket shafts, but i'm sure salvaged driveshafts for II's are dirtcheap. If your going back to a C4, find a...

    Eleanor?

Its not much to look at right now. The drivetrain is out and the interior is gutted. I'm preping, priming, and painting everything. My 77 is a t-top so it has a lot of rust on the floor board as well as leaky leaky cowl. Its also sitting on blocks cause I haven't finished the 5 lug conversion...

    Eleanor?

The II that I'm restomoding is going to based off the "Eleanor" concept. Basically a lot of major body work changes. I'm grafting an eclipse GT front clip to the front. I,m also altering the shelby side scoops to look more sporty. Also putting a vintage alluminum Fairlane GT 500 rear spoiler...

    yet another cam question

Thank you Michael. Its good to finely get some numbers on this. I'll do some more reserch and thanks again for steering me away from the "Darkside" . I'd hate to buy a cam that won't agree well with my engine setup.:flag:

    yet another cam question

Thats what I,ve been told before. I want the HO cam. Problem is I think Ford discontinued the part, I don't know the orig ho cam specs ( lift, duration, etc) and I am unsure on which aftermarket cam to go with. I'm sure that one FRPP,s cams is a direct replacement. Perhaps other aftermarket cams...

    yet another cam question

ho and non ho cams do interchange, all you have to do is change the spark plug wire locations and your set. As far as buying a wrecked mustang and parting it out. I could have saved alot of money by doing this but why?? All of my parts are brand spankin new with absolute zero miles on them. The...

    yet another cam question

I,ve been searching the threads for awhile now and have yet to find a exact answer. I have a NON ho 302 with the E6se heads. First off I tossed out the heads, pistons, and 14 lb injectors. What i,ve got now is Ported and decked e7s, 65mm tb & EGR plate, typoon intake, 19 lb injectors, KB...

    the breaking point

Holy crap!!! I've seen 302's cracked down the middle but never split in half... must have been one hell of a 1/4 mile run! Great tech advice guys. Anyone here used FRP's wide ratio kits for AOD?

    the breaking point

I knew the stock blocks were fairly durable, but I had no idea they could take that kind of stress. Its impressive.. How about the stock AOD? I've heard of problems with the pump input shaft breaking but never at what point this could occur. Also you guys have any suggestions on gear ratios...

    the breaking point

What is the max HP a stock 302 can maintain? Like say I have a stock 302 block that has several bolt on upgrades, how far can I go until upgrading the block becomes an issue? Same question goes goes for the AOD guys out there. How much power and torque can a stock AOD take with a 1900 to 2300...

    Power steering options??

I guess that this must not be a very popular concept. But i,m not going to keep that paint can looking old P/S pump. Probablly doesn't work anyways. Maybe I'll just drop in a flaming river manual rack and pinion and go on.....

    Power steering options??

I'm planning on buying a new or referbed power steering rack for my 77 MII and was wondering if anyone had retro-fitted a newer P/S pump. I'm doing a complete engine transplant from a 87 5.0 and it would be nice to keep things simple on the accessory drive. Can it be done? Is there a difference...

    E7 woes

the exact number on my heads are e7te-pa. I measured the chamber volume using a hypodermic needle once the heads was on a level surface. So at best it was a ball park figure at 64 cc but thanks for the info.

    E7 woes

You guys are thinking mustang.. this is 5.0 tech remember. The engine is out of a lincoln, so its pretty much a couger engine. It has a small TB with 14lb/hr injectors. Ford books list it as having a 50mm tb. Not that it matters cause now I have a 65mm. The heads look nothing alike. Set a e5...

    Whats the difference??

The E7TE-AA vs the E7TE-PA..Are they basically the same head ? Will they interchange? One more question..Has anyone here had any valve clearance problems with stock pistons when using a b-303 or e-303 cam? What are some good pistons to use?
