BUILD A MUSTANG and be remembered

You might want to be a little more specific on what your goals and budget are. "A very fast streetable car" is a relative statement depending on who you are talking to. Some people would say a blown 302 at 18 psi is plenty fast.

    Is this cobra worth it?

A saw a green 97 coupe with 40,xxx go for that very price a few months ago. He was asking 14k but the buyer talked him down. I'd say thats reasonable as long as there's no issues.

how man of you have been asked what cam you have when u have a stock cam?

I usually get asked the same thing when I am around other stangers. The exhaust gives it a slight lope sound which fools 'em every time.

    Headers finally on!!

Nice ride dude. Looks like you got deep into the install. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw your pic was "JOE DIRT"! Not trying to be an ass, just an innocent observation. :flag:

Ok to use compressed air on fuel injectors?

Thanks for the input. Your write ups are really helping me now during the head and intake swap. What would be the purpose of giving them juice during the cleaning process? I assume for testing reasons, but I have no idea how that would work. I was just planning on giving them a good bath...

03 calipers on 5 lug conv.?

Yes they will fit. You will have to clearance the spindle for the GT/V6 calipers as stated above. The cobras will fit as is. Make sure you get the correct brake lines. They changed the thread pattern in mid-03.

How many of you are running modded motors wit HIGH Miles?

If you are doing the H/I there's no better time to go for the rebuilt. If not you should be good as long as she's tight and holding good compression. These engines are famous for being able to take a beating. I just pulled my stock heads off after 99k. The cylinder walls and valvetrain looked...

Ok to use compressed air on fuel injectors?

Greetings. I am planning on cleaning my injectors while I am in the process of a head and intake swap. Is there any problem with using compressed air on the injectors? I don't think there's any internal seals that can be damaged but just want to check and make sure. :flag: TY

    prop valve ?

You might want to take a look at this: http://www.maximummotorsports.com/instructions/bpv-1.pdf Their guidance says it is preferred that the fronts always lock up before the rears to avoid the rear end kicking out during hard braking. I haven't dialed mine in yet but that is what I will...

Mustang Specific shops / Engine builders

Sorry for your misfortune. If I had read this post earlier I would have volunteered to come help you load up the paperweight. I hope the shop makes it right, maybe they need a little reminding about how a bad reputation can affect business. :D
