Hats off to the Founding Old Fogies

Does it still count if you joined in 2000? How long has the .ORG list been going that's when most of these IIser names starting flying around. And that was right before the start up of StangNet. Good Times none the less.

    95 Mustang V6 in a II

As out of the box a Nissan or other foreign type motor is how practicaly would it be considering they told the story in "Fast and Furious 3" of a 67 or 68 Mustang with a Nissan Motor in it as a drift car, when the actual cars built for the movie had 351's in em cuz the Nissan didn't have enough...

    95 Mustang V6 in a II

I'm thinking I read somewhere that the 4.2 and 3.8 are virtually the same, I'm pretty some boys over on the V6 are using 4.2 cranks to stroke their 3.8 and help with compression for boosted motors as well.

    Carburetor on a 4.0???

Anybody know of an intake available to slap a carb on the 4.0? I'm looking into the possibility of swapping a 4.0 preferrably from a wrecked stang into an older Mustang. Not sure I really want to get into the mess of the computer. Just wondering if anybody knows right off of a good carb type...

    I need a VIN translation

I found the build sheet from my 78 cobra under the back seats Also if you find the buck tag on the radiator support (likely place) it will say CB on it, which indicates it's a cobra

    95 Mustang V6 in a II

parts availability is out there for upping the performance on a 3.8. My brother and I slapped a Procharger on his 98 convertible. 295hp at the wheels, that's not even getting into the block. We put the supercharger on with less than 50K on the car's odometer and he's now got over 120K on it...

    Couple of electrical questions

I've got a few questions that kinda go in hand with this discussion. On my 78 Cobra I had problems with the starter after she got warm not starting back up. So I replaced the starter a few months back, since I drive the Expedtion or the wife's 05 I dont' get a chance to play with the II's as...

ANY SUGGESTION FOR UPHOLSTERY BURNT BY

Asiding from harping on you smoking in your car. I have to agree with Casey4s you must be a sloppy smoker, My Dad had several Mustangs and two trucks no burns in them. It wasn't until later in life when his liver was going bad from meds (not drinking) that he burnt a couple holes in the couch...

Welding Aluminumized Steel to Stainless Steel?

if you got all the parts you may be able to buddy up with a shop that would the hangers on for you for little to no charge, if you weld mild steel hangers to stainless system with mild wire, you'll contaminate the SS and cause the system to begin rusting out.

    Testor 1/24 Scale Mustang II

I've got a Testor's 1:24 Scale Cobra II (wide body racer) that I've had for a few years. I'm looking to move some stuff out that's just been sitting that I'm not going to do anything with. I've been trying to search for this car online to get an idea where to start on ebay. I can't even find any...

Mustang II in Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords

Sorry I could't remember where I had seen the car on the web, after posting I was thinking it was through the .org site but couldn't remember for sure.

Welding Aluminumized Steel to Stainless Steel?

I worked in a fab shop where we dealt with galvanized and aluminized materials and welding them to stainless parts. You can use stainless wire on any other metal. You'll pay a little more for the wire but you'll be able to use it up, and have a better welds in the end.

Mustang II in Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords

Kudos to the owner of Lil Eleanor there's a small spot but still a spot and mention of Lil' Eleanor. They've praised the design and execution of the car. As I think we all have who have checked that slick little ride out. Hopefully this will lead to another primedia magazine spot. Congrats

    Don't lift a 302 short block alone!!

I turned a fully assembled 351 over on an engine stand once, and I didn't have my cherry picker quickly available to lift if back up. If you wanna try something out sometime that's guaranteed to screw your back fill a C-4 full of tranny fluid including torque converter and set it in the back...

Mustang II in top 100 Hot Rods

I don't know if you all get Hot Rod or even bother to look at them since they're usually so centered on Chevy stuff. But my new issue came in yesteray and I was happily surprised to see a few Mustangs in the top 100 Influential Hot Rods. There was the Mustang II that Jack (The Cat in The Hat)...

    Fox side skirts?

I know this is an older thread, but I don't visit Stangnet as much as I used to. I've played with the idea before of throwing the GT ground effects onto a II, they're all I had to play with. More recently I purchased a 93 cobra rear bumper to put on my 92 GT and thought I'd get an idea of...

    Power Rack Leaking

Ok folks I've got a question, I'm hoping someone can help out. My steering rack is leaking on my 92 5.0 GT. The hard line that runs from the steering box to the front of the rack is leaking. Has anyone ever seen this line leak? It's leaking at the steering box. Short of pulling the rack out I...

Some pictures of my project... The Mustang SHO

I think anyone who has never driven or owned an SHO should not ask the question as to why anyone would want to do this swap. I had a 94 SHO with an Auto tranny. That would eat my 92 GT and my 04 GT's alive. 140mph in a family sedan is a little creepy when the car wasn't feeling vulnerable at...
