    how do i install gears???

I you don't replace the carrier bearings, all you need is the "large bearing separator" that harbor freight sells for $10 to get the pinion bearing off. My first time, using a lift, I was done in 4 hours. Scott

    how do i install gears???

Here is my writeup http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=479678 Good luck. The most important thing to tell you is to read each install article several times over. The one that Green GT posted was a big help. If there was something that confused me, I re-read that article and I...

Q on installing equal length shorties

Whatever type of bolts you use, whether they be hex head or alan, you need some good tools to get them to bolt up. A wobble extension, swivel, ratcheting wrench (stubby and long), regular wrench straight and maybe an "S" box-end wrench. I did my brothers 4.6L with all of the above and I still...

    Question on o2 Sensors...

If your plug wires are original, I would replace them. Not that the ones you have are bad, but they do wear out. After you replaced the O2 sensors, did you reset the computer? You need to so the computer can relearn the new o2's. Scott

    Fuel Pump Etc.

An easy way to check the fuel pump is to remove the gas cap, stick a screwdriver in the filler to open the check valve, and put your ear right next to the filler. When someone else turns the key to the acc position, the fuel pump should prime; you should hear a whirring sound. That doesn't mean...

    gasket material ?

Is there a spot on the deck that you can try cleaning that is away from the combustion chambers? That way you can see what is necessary on a surface that isn't vital. Taking the surface all the way to bare shiny metal is very important. Otherwise the HG is not going to mate 100% IMO. I would...

hey guys wats your favorite color

At the body shop where I work, they use the dupont system. They used to use the sikkens system, which came out looking almost as good. You need to sand the entire car down to 400 grit. After you sand a panel, go over it inch by inch, looking for divots/impressions. Sand more if necessary. I...

Anyone install a C&L 76mm TrueFlow MAF System on a basically stock '94/95?

I hate my C&L and I am getting a Pro-M very soon. Putting a CAI on a stock car is like putting a "tornado" on any car. Scott

    Anyone used Plastex?

The only plastic repair kit I have seen that works is this stuff that is a two part epoxy specifically meant for plastic. With an epoxy gun this stuff works great! You can sand/paint it in a 30 minutes!! Scott

strut tower bolts are stripped need to fix them how?

One thing you can try is rethreading the threads on the strut tower. You may have enough to still bite well. Craftsman sells a good rethreading kit for $50 I think. But if you don't want to spend the money, I would just drill and re-tap to the next size. Just take your time, use a lot of oil...
