    Project Phoenix (94 Cobra)

I'm going to paint the engine block black gotta work on wire wheeling it clean now. I won't be checking this for PTV clearance, this is a very tiny cam designed specifically for a stock GT40 setup which is what I have. The black carpet does look alot better thanks! HB? I will try...

    Project Phoenix (94 Cobra)

Well was finally able to do some more work. First I replaced the old valve springs, retainers and locks. The stock locks/retainers where a real PITA ended up having to use a socket to beat on the locks to loosen them up since they have been on this motor a long time. After we did the first...

    Tired of helping people!!!!!

Doesn't sound like a great friend. When it comes down to cars sometimes you can only count on yourself, but it sure is nice when you get a helping hand. :nice: I've done my share of work with no return, sometimes you get nothing for it and sometimes you get a return when you need it. :)

Is rebuilding with fox style intake and computer worth it?

Intake debatable depending on what your aiming for in your setup. Fox computer NO imo...

    Please educate me on widebands

The "Ideal" number can vary from setup to setup. What is good for N/A may not be the case for nitrous/turbo etc. Specially when you start throwing in timing curves/load/etc. Find a good tuner to talk too if you can, and make small adjustments! :nice:

    Project Phoenix (94 Cobra)

Spent the last 2~ weeks working on another car. R&Red motor on a 96 vert upgrade to PI so progress slowed down a bit, also it is getting COLD. :notnice: Anyhow. Got some parts in. Some new/upgrades. Motor mount/tranny mount. (Tranny mount broke in the wreck.) Double roller timing chain, new...

    Help identify my transmission??

Nice "freebie". :D I think they are a lot better then t5s hands down. Friend of mine power shifted his (if that is a 3550) stock one for a long time which is something I wouldn't dream of trying with a t5.

Water pump dead / how bad to replace?

Did you check the timing cover for leaks? Did you check the oil for coolant?

96 GT swap 03 PI Motor

My friends 1996 GT Vert has sprung a leak from the intake. He has acquired a 03 GT motor with 40k~ miles on it and we plan to swap it out completely. Crate motor comes with complete engine harness (no computer harness) and still has the coil on plug. No front end brackets and still has the...

Water pump dead / how bad to replace?

http://forums.stangnet.com/766511-project-phoenix-94-cobra.html#post7696249 Hope that helps, of course you will want to loosen the bolts to the pulley with the belt on (or use a air gun like I did). And also you have some hoses to remove.

    Project Phoenix (94 Cobra)

Lot of pics here to help out in another thread.... Today I removed the water pump, timing cover, balancer and oil pan. Pretty straightforward job, if you do not have any leaks on the timing chain cover side you will not need to remove the balancer. My stock pump was actually fine 2~...

Water pump dead / how bad to replace?

If you are comfy with doing the work yourself it isn't bad at all IMO. I've done mine when I had to change the timing cover gasket, had to remove the balancer for that. Don't recall needing that to happen for just the WP but it has been awhile.... Keep a eye on my thread if your really...
